Kuroo and Kenma are childhood best friends, Kuroo has always had a crush on Kenma, but never knew how Kenma felt, in Kuroo's 2nd year of high school he discovered that he didn't want to be a girl anymore, he want to be a boy. He told his parents and he was a little surprised when they accepted him. They got some stuff switched around at school and stuff, but there was one thing that kept him in his room for a week after coming out to his parents,
'How would Kenma react to this?'
Kuroo didn't want to lose the one thing he cared about the most (if you don't count his parents).

Well he didn't have to wait long because the Kozume residents came to the Kuroo residence. Tetsurou didn't want to come out of his room, so he stayed up there. His parents knew this was a big step for their son, so they thought that he might need a little nudge to get him going. They ask Kenma to go get Kuroo. Kenma was confused when they call him Kuroo instead of his first name, but brushed it aside. He knocked on the door and called out to Kuroo. No response. He tried again and still no response. He turned the door knob and open the door. He saw his best friend who now had short hair, was crying on the floor. When he questioned Kuroo what was wrong.

Kuroo told him that he's trans and that he liked Kenma since they were kids and that if Kenma liked him to that he hoped it wouldn't change just because he feel like a boy and not a girl. That's when Kenma says, "I've loved you since we were kids dumbass. Your looks or you being a female, is not what made me fall for you. It was your dumbass personality, you always were persistent about being my friend even when I pushed you away, you still came back, I drew my towards you. No matter who you are, if you feel like a boy, a girl, or non-binary, I will still love you."
