Kats sister

Meeting

*beep.. beep..beep...bee-*
I slap my alarm clock turning it off and I sit up stretching. Today my sister is bringing her boyfriend to meet me and our parents so I needed to get up at get ready.

I usually hate waking up early but I haven't seen kat for a whole year so I'm very excited.

I grab my phone and DoorDash coffee before I start getting ready.

I choose my outfit and put some mascara, blush, and highlighter. I get a notification that my order is here so I run down stairs to grab it.

"Order for Sage?" I nod and take my coffee thanking him.

I go to the kitchen and take a sip. I go to sit down and there is a knock on the door. I go to the door and open it. When I realize who it is I scream and jump onto kat making us both fall to the ground

"I missed you so much!!" She laughs and hugs me tightly.

We finally pull ourselves off the ground and I look up seeing two boys, one being Sam but I don't know who the other one is.

"Sage this is Sam and Colby, guys this is my sister sage" she introduces us and we all exchange hellos.

We go inside and I help kat with her bags. "I thought you guys didn't get here until tonight, I was supposed to pick you up from the airport!" I said confused and the all laugh.

"I wanted to surprise you!" Kat says and we all go to the living room.

"Does mom and dad know you're here already?" I ask as we all sit down, Sam and kat sitting on the couch, Colby sitting on the love seat, and I just sat on the floor.

"Yea, they said they will be here tomorrow from their trip" I nod and take a sip of my coffee.

"Sooo how are you at Isaac?" Kat smiles and I choke on my coffee.

"Fuck, sorry wasn't expecting to hear that name" I laugh slightly and nervously swirl my fingers on the side of my cup.

"Oh no what happened?" She asks concerned.

"He um.. he broke up with me to be with his friends sister" I try to smile through the sentence but I can feel tears trying to fight their way out.

Me and Isaac dated for 3 years and we're even talking about moving in together, now him and Leah are living together, crazy right?

"I'm sorry babe" Kat jumped up running over to give me a hug.

We pull away from each other and I look at Sam and Colby who are looking at each other uncomfortably.

"Im so sorry, do you guys need anything?" I ask them and they both look at me shaking their heads.

"No I think we're ok, thank you tho" Sam smiles and stands up walking over to Kat.

"We should probably put our stuff somewhere though" he looks at the bags all over the floor.

"Colby you can stay in the guest room" Kat says and I realize I forgot to tell her.

"Dad is redoing the guest room so he has it blocked off until Monday" I say and the groans.

"I guess you can put your stuff in my room and we can make a palette" she says and looks at Sam frowning slightly.

I could tell she wanted to be alone with him. "Well he can put his stuff in my room and I'll just sleep on the couch until Monday, that's where I usually sleep anyways it's surprisingly comfortable" I shrug and kat smiles and thanks me

She brings Sam to her room and I show Colby to my room.

"You can throw your bags wherever" I smile and sit on the bed.

"Thanks, you really don't have to do this I don't mind sleeping on the couch" he says sitting down beside me.

"No, I love the couch trust me. You stay in here" I smile and he thanks me before looking around.

I look over at him studying his features. His hair. His jawline. His hands. Rings. Eyes. Wait. I realize he's staring back at me smiling and I look away quickly blushing.

"Sorry" i say the only thing that comes to my mind and he chuckles.

"Don't be. So uh what do you like doing?" He asks looking around my room trying not to make this awkward.

"I like to paint, read, and I love dog sitting. I really want my own dog but my mom would kill me" I shrug and he laughs

"Ok well I'll let you settle in, let me know if you need anything" I smile and get up walking out of the room.
