Mall

I hear my phone go off so I pick it up seeing a text from my friend asking if I want to hang out. I agree and run up stairs. I know on my bedroom door and Colby yells for me to come in.

"Hey sorry just had to grab some clothes." I say walking to my closet grabbing an outfit.

I go to the bathroom and change and then go back to my room to get shoes. My phone goes off again and I see a picture of Isaac and his new girlfriend.

I feel my eyes watering up and I take a deep breath trying not to cry.

"Sage, are you ok?" I look over at Colby who's sitting on my bed looking at me.

"Oh uh yea sorry. Just a picture of my ex and his new girl... still hurts a little ya know?" He nods and gets up going to his bag.

I watch him as he opens it taking out a hoodie and throws it on.

"Here come here, with your phone." He says standing in front of my mirror.

"What?" I look at him confused and he motions for me to come to him.

"Ok now take a picture and post it. Let him know that you moved on and don't care anymore." I just stare at him surprised and he smile taking my arm pulling me in front of him.

I take the picture and post it on Snapchat. It was actually really cute... so was Colby.

"Would you like to go out with me and my friends? I think we're going to the mall" I ask and he smiles nodding his head.

"Ok yay! I'll let them know" I take my phone out and text my friend letting her know he's coming with.

-time skip-

Me and Colby pull up to the mall and go inside to meet my friend Frankie and her boyfriend Grayson.

I see Frankie standing against a wall with Grayson sitting on the floor beside her.

"Frankie!" I yell and she looks at me jumping up and down. We run toward each other and almost fall to the ground hugging but we catch ourselves.

"Oh Frankie and Grayson this is Colby Colby this is Frankie and Grayson" I introduce them and they say their hellos.

"So you're the mystery boy on her Snapchat, Isaac texted me asking if you got a new boyfriend" my eyes widen and my heart skips a beat. Why would he ask Frankie? Why would he even care.

I look at Colby and I could see that he looks slightly concerned.

"What did you tell him?" I ask and she pulls out her phone showing me the texts.

I laugh at her responses and she puts her phone back on her pocket. I wonder why he cares.

"So are you two.. you know..?" She points at me and Colby and we look at each other and laugh.

"No, just friends. We just met today." I say and he nods.

"Ohh ok the picture was cute tho, anyways do y'all want to get food I'm starving" Frankie asks and we all say yes.

I walk beside Frankie and the boys walk behind us talking.

"Ok Sage. He's cuteee right? How do you really feel about him?" She says and I push her hoping he didn't hear her. I look back and they are both in their own world.

"It's not gonna happen. He's literally just here visiting. He is cute or whatever but it would never work." I say and she sighs.

"I just want you to be happy. Isaac was an asshole and I don't want you letting him keep you from finding someone" she says throwing her arm around my shoulder giving me a side hug.

"I'm not. I promise" I say as we finally arrive to the food court.

We all get out food and go sit down at a table to eat.

This summer was going to be pretty fun, here's to new and old friends <3
