The rain had just started to pick up in Hexton and in most movies that would be an indication something bad was going to happen. In this city, it almost always did go bad.

The change in the rain went unnoticed by Kylo, as he stood behind the counter of an old café. The owner insisted that the small store would stay open at night, which was easy to say when you weren't the one working the night shift.

"Hexton is known for the nightlife." The owner, James, explained, "So we stay open later and we should be able to get more money."

Kylo believed that James was too caught up in his amazing idea to realize how dangerous it truly is to do that. If a shop remains open at night there was always a good chance some unwanted guest would walk through, trying to rob the place or kill the worker.

Not to mention it allowed people to come into the café, and if two of the wrong type of people walk in, the whole store itself could be damaged.

As the rain proceeded to get worse, the thunder shaking the business from how powerful it was, Kylo figured it would be okay to close early.

One, he would be much safer in a closed store. Two, his boss wouldn't be upset that he closed early due to the fact it was storming and not many people would be left out of it in.

Once Kylo finally decided he was going to do it, the small bell in the door rang and there stood a male, holding both doors open. He was dressed in all black, with the hood of his jacket up, making it impossible to see the male's face and even know if it was a dangerous person or not.

A bolt of lightning flashed behind the male, making Kylo jump. It was like something out of a horror movie and it didn't make him feel safe at all.

The stranger stepped in, the double doors closing behind him. To add to the suspense, he walked slowly to the counter. The boots clicked with each step he made.

Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Stop.

Kylo watched the male approach the counter, the silence only making him more uncomfortable, yet he knew he couldn't show it. In a town like this, being weak and showing fear made you one of the most desirable prey, but if you appeared too strong and cocky, you would be challenging others. It was a hard thing to balance out and if you messed up, well, let's just hope you didn't.

After a moment of silence filled the air, Kylo cleared his throat, "How many I help you today?" He asked.

The person reached up, pulling down the hood and Kylo tried to not freak out. In front of him stood one of Hexton's well-known villains, Wolf.

Wolf was well known for his strength and ruthlessness. The male was so incredibly strong, that he could rip people in half and he has. He also never showed emotion, hence the ruthlessness. You could plead for your life and he would just chuckle before ripping your head right off.

Wolf didn't look like a villain, he looked like an average person you'd meet on the streets and someone you would consider being friends with if you didn't know he killed people with his bare hands. That's what gave him the upper hand though.

The male knew his power and so did everyone else, it made people think twice before double-crossing him because if he found out, he would be another gravestone getting covered in moss.

Kylo watched the male scan over his face, he figured Wolf was trying to get a read off of him, which only made him more scared. He just couldn't show it, in fear of what would happen if he did.

After another moment of silence, Wolf finally spoke and it was the first time Kylo had ever heard him speak. "Large black coffee," Wolf said. His voice was extremely low and deep. It had a silky-creamy feel to it, if the male was to read a bedtime story everyone would be asleep in seconds.
