Chapter 7: My Child

Welcome back for more of KMS Nijmegen and now in this chapter we will meet a new character who witness the Battle of Nijmegen Bridge before Nijmegen meet with Fredrich and the man who rebuild Nijmegen body. Enjoy the chapter.

Fredrich Lab, Iron Blood

Fredrich POV

It took couple of years to fix KMS Nijmegen, but the problem is finding ways to bring him back alive since he was already dead from the wounds. I continue to research of this until I know certain someone who can bring the dead back from the living; will almost. His name is Isaac; he is a lead researcher from developing weapons and I learn that he was at Nijmegen Bridge when the Allies drop bomb on the bridge. He has more information which was classified due to "problems". I head over to his lab which is in the far side of the main base where he can study new weapons for warfare. Once I get the lab I can only see tanks that wasn't been used yet for his experiment and I can see a railgun ready for development. I knock on the door to see a cyborg greeting me with open arms. This is Isaac.

Isaac: "Mutter; it is being a while hasn't it?"

Fredrich: "It was, but I got someone who I want to save."

Isaac: "Who is it?"

He was shock to see me having a body of a young man that is cover with burnt marks all over his body with a wisdom cube stuck on his chest. He notice him from the start.

Isaac: "This is a young man that is on the Nijmegen Bridge during the fighting in the Netherlands."

Fredrich: "You know him?"

Isaac: "Correct; he went down with the bridge when it collapse after been hit by Allied Bombers to prevent my forces from crossing over, but I order my units to stay away from the bridge."

Fredrich: "Why is that?"

Isaac: "During the fighting when he try to escape there was another person behind him, but it wasn't one of ours or them."

Fredrich: "A third party?"

Isaac: "Maybe, but what I do know that this person was chasing after him when the bomb hit and the last thing I hear was "Traitors" before the bridge collapse."

Fredrich: "They didn't have a choice; if they did they would be wipe out by our forces."

Isaac: "That young man wasn't the only one that is trap on our side; there are still thousands of them still trap, but this man took the gamble of escaping through the bridge. Sadly; the Allies bomb their own man in order to prevent us from entering the other side, but we were already on the other side by going through the river with our transport to secure the other side of the bridge."

Fredrich: "What happen to the men that is still trap?"

Isaac: "When I was there; they fought day to day with little ammo, but they kept on fighting until to the end and they surrender to us when they know they have no chance. They become POWs, but this fellow here; he was already dead by the time you arrive."

Fredrich: "He was alive when I met him and made a deal to revive him."

Isaac: "Maybe faith has decided to let you meet him or he has another purpose in life. Let me do a examination on him first before moving on to make sure I don't need anything for this resurrection."

Isaac when to the examining table to observe the body and was shocking to see someone still holding life when all this injuries without medical care. Isaac look at his information dossier of any enemy soldiers that is in the Allies. He found the man's profile at his desk and notice that he didn't have a happy life in his own country.
