Chapter 13: Crimson Incident

Welcome back for more of KMS Nijmegen. In this chapter we continue on the past where Rommel found the Crimson Wisdom Cube that summon KMS Nijmegen, but what is the origin of it and how it relate to the Mount Vesuvius. Find out in this chapter. Enjoy the chapter.

Mount Vesuvius Shrine, Mount Vesuvius

Rommel POV

After claiming the Crimson Wisdom Cube from the shrine; I am on my way out of the shrine until trip over something which actually hurt my leg, but not damage it.

Rommel: "OW! What did I fell over?"

I look at what trip me and saw a shock of my life. I trip over that looks like a old Iron Blood rig shark figure all rusted from Time. I follow where the rig is and see another shark figure rig; I follow both of them and saw a skeleton wearing an ancient robes that is connecting with the rigs. I examine the skeleton to see that this poor fellow has it's legs broken because the bones  on the legs is broken from the falling debris.

Rommel: "Poor fellow; you were trapped here all this time. I believe that this is your wisdom cube isn't it?"

I pray to the skeleton for it's restful slumber and continue to leave the ruins of Mount Vesuvius where I met Lady Vittorio with her guards examining the volcano.

Rommel: "Lady Vittorio; what brings you here?"

Vittorio: "Hello there Rommel; I was examining our great volcano of Mount Vesuvius and honor the fallen who died in our great tragic day in our great Empire history."

Rommel: "Your talking about the Destruction of Pompeii?"

Vittorio: "That is correct; what brings you here to the Great Volcano?"

Rommel: "Doing some surveying myself for our project to help against the Sirens. Great question; do you anything about this mine tunnel that I came out of?"

Vittorio: "You mean the mining operation that we did to extract resources? No we found nothing that is worth interest. Why?"

Rommel thought: "They didn't know that the wisdom cube is resting deep within the volcano; better not tell them that otherwise we got problems."

Rommel: "Nothing much; I examine the tunnel and found nothing that is worth interest(that was a lie). I better head back to the Iron Blood before I get a scold from my wife for been late."

I wave goodbye to Vittorio while hiding the wisdom cube and made my way back to the Iron Blood base where I can continue my research with this wisdom cube.

Timeskip to the lab

I continue to observe the wisdom cube while studying it's origin, but come empty about it. I try to figure it out how long the wisdom cube is sleeping within the volcano and who was the skeleton that I found inside the shrine where I found the rigs of the Iron Blood with it. I continue to observe and try to talk with it, but I feel fear and sorrow coming out of it.

Rommel: "What are you so afraid of that is making you to stay inside of your cube?"

???: "That would be me."

I heard a voice coming from behind me and see an Iron Blood ship, but it was a male and from his appearance he is a Meta version of a certain ship.

Rommel: "Who are you?"

???: "You can called me Malice and I'm am here for "him".

He was pointing at the wisdom cube which making the cube glowing dimmer which means it is reacting toward Malice.
