Ryujin's POV

Greetings from the maids welcomed us as we went straight to the dining room. There i saw dad signing papers and not minding the food in front of him. Work over anything else as always.

"Dad," my brother called. He didn't even notice that we're here already.

"You can go now, Beomgyu, thank you for bringing your sister," he said coldly.

I glanced at my brother as his jaw clenched upon hearing that.

"Well I don't have anything important to say to you now, you can go do your shits,"

Beomgyu didn't say anything and just left the room shutting the door as loud as he could. Dad isn't happy about him skating. It was against his "plan" of making Beomgyu the perfect son, following his steps and eventually inheriting the family business.

"Sit down," he said which i followed.

"I've seen your midterm grades,"

Oh shit.

"Dad there's still the fina-" he didn't let me finish and dropped his pen angrily that it made me flinch.

"Don't give me that crap, you already told me that after you failed 3 subjects in the first semester,"

Yeah, i did. If it isn't for dad's connection...

"This is your last chance, Ryujin or else you're going to Canad-"

"And what? Live with mom, her new husband and kid?" i couldn't hold back after that threatening he did.

Silence followed till he started picking up his things.

"If you fail your finals, you're going to Canada and that's final."

I was left standing there, wanting to cry but i managed to stop myself. It's not the time for that.

I've been staring at my test paper for minutes until someone tap my shoulder. Oh shit i almost jump out of my seat.

"What?" i asked irritatedly.

"What's your score man?" she asked me.

I sighed and gave her my test paper. It's 71/100.

"That's okay, there'd be quizzes," she said and showed me her test paper which has 79/100 mark.

We can't help but to laugh at the fact that we're not even sad about it. I mean, she has a passing grade and I don't but I don't really care anymore.

"I should've let you copy my test," i confidently said making her laugh more.

"Stop it Ryujin, you should study for the next ones okay?" she said after calming down and i just gave her a nod.

She's Lee Chaeryeong, one of my best friends. Speaking of best friends we stood up and went in front to bother Choi Lia. We three have been together since junior highschool.

"Yo~" i greeted her with a grin.

"How did our smart girl do?" Chaeryeong asked her.

"Well, i got an 88," she said giving us her eye-smile.

"WHAT?! I GOT A HIGHER SCORE THAN YOU????" i said acting surprised.

Chaeryeong understood what I'm trying to do and nodded at Lia who looked at her right away.

"How many did you get?" Lia asked me.

"I got a 90," i said in a serious tone.

"Yeah, that's bull," she responded while smiling at me. I couldn't hold back my laughter.
