"You'll be a consigliere, Andrea" I started.

"Does that mean I'll be on in your killing shits and drug stuffs?" She asked curiously. Did she really have no idea or she's just asking questions to break the gauche tension?

"In the killing part, yes" I answered bluntly.

"What do you mean? What about the drug shit? Can't I get involved in that?" She asked. At this point I'm convinced she had no fucking clue.

"We stopped doing drugs... ever since the incident, Andrea" I answered, head hung low.

"What happened?" She asked looking at me with the most concerned look.

Fuck, if you keep looking at me like that I might get false hope.

"After I took over the business, I declared to stop the drugs. I mean, it all happened because of the drugs. I know we don't do drugs but it's just traumatizing. I can't afford to lose anyone. Not anymore." I explained to her. She was looking at me with concern.

Keyword: concern, not pity.

What is she thinking?

"Well, that's just pathetic, Cai." She stated bluntly.

What the fuck is she on?

"I mean, yes, you're right about the part where everything started with the drugs but the drugs are good for business, you know?"

"Andrea, what exactly are you talking about?" I asked furiously.

"If you stopped the drug shit just because of the incident, might as well concede defeat. You're being a scaredy-cat, Cai. You and the rest of the guys will look like you're scared and hiding. Me, personally, I wouldn't give that impression to my enemies. I'd show them neither of what they did could fucking stop me from doing anything. But it's up to you though, you're the boss." She stated sticking out her tongue.

Well that was new. I'm usually the one saying that to her. Is she trying to manipulate me to return the drugs? Because if she is, she's really good at trying to provoke me. I'll be having either: a genius in mind games enemy, or a genius wife. I'm certain.

No, I'm not certain. Which is so fucking bad. I might die if I can't fix our problem.

"Andrea, we actually do more shits now. We stop drugs. Isn't that also an act of bravery?" I asked with a grin.

"Oh, trying to be a hero to the public, how brave. Although, I might say: I quite like the idea of provoking your enemy. That's actually genius, I must admit." She said with a smile plastered on her beautiful face.

"And I'm fucking up for it"

"Of course you are. Who the fuck is so not up to provoking your enemy, yeah?" I stated comfortably as if I've forgotten about the situation we are on.

"Hell fucking yeah" she answered before slamming the door shut. I was left alone in the meeting room. I didn't even realize when she went to the door. What was she now, an assassin?

The door suddenly flung open revealing her.

"Forgot my phone" she said as she got her phone and almost left when she stopped on her tracks and said: "see you in school, I guess. I'll be seeing you here more often. Don't forget to bring me to any dangerous shit that includes killing some douchebags" she disappeared.

How I wish we could talk a little bit more just so I could listen to her voice. My favorite sound.

— 1 week later, at school — Andrea's pov —

Andrea. That's a new name. I was used to people calling me by my nickname. Although I wasn't really foreign to hearing strangers call me Andrea but hearing Cairo say it gets me feeling some type of shit. Not good and definitely not bad. Just not sure.

Cairo's friend, William has been waiting for me to finish class. He was waiting outside my classroom like a lost puppy. After my class was done he informed me that Cairo wanted to discuss a few more things with me.

By discussing he meant: "Andrea, Cairo wants you to come with me in our apartment. Here's my proof that it really is him that told me to do so" he said holding up a paper with letters 'CA' written on it along with some doodles.

I knew it was Cairo.

"He said he wanted to discuss some stuffs and wanted to invite you for dinner which he forced me to agree on considering the fact that I'm his roommate." William continued.

"Don't worry, I don't like you much more than you don't like me. The feelings are mutual, babe." I said nonchalantly before heading to Cairo's apartment.

I didn't know where his apartment was but he eventually texted me the address.

As I was knocking on his door, I reached out for my knife from underneath my skirt. I was flabbergasted, he opened the door the moment I knocked and was holding me on gunpoint.

I froze. I haven't even got the knife out of my secret pocket yet. How could he have predicted I was up to some games? This guy's a bitch.

"Fuck you" I stated with mad eyes.

"No, fuck you. You could've been the one doing this to me if I didn't do it first." He answered with a pout.

"What are you? A fucking baby? Grow up" I stated ever so calmly before going inside his haphazard apartment.

Damn, men really are disgusting.

"You live in a hell hole" I stated looking around his house with disgust painted on my whole entire face.

"My room's tidy. The living room's just messy because we argue on whoever should clean the mess" he answered a bit offended.

"Why can't you two just clean it like normal grownups would?" I rolled my eyes at him. I strolled to his kitchen expecting a whole damn meal. I wasn't even surprised after I found seafoods, specifically shrimps and lobsters on the dining table including some chicken.

"Are you trynna kill me?" I walked over to the food on the table. He tailed over me.

"What do you mean?" He asked curiously.

"Oh god, Cairo. How dare you forget I'm allergic to chicken and seafood" I got mad. Who wouldn't. After living with him for almost 15 years, I was expecting him to know everything about me and still remember all the very minuscule details and whatnots about me even after not seeing each other for 5 years.

Or not. Maybe he completely forgot about me the moment he did the unthinkable. Men.

"Oh..." he answered, guilt plastered on his face.

Okay?

"You know what? Why don't we just go somewhere and order food?" He asked hoping for forgiveness. How about a little torture?

"I want to eat at the headquarters, Cai. Introduce me to everyone. No, introduce everyone to me and after that, let's go shopping. How's that?" I asked genuinely.

Maybe not genuinely, I wanted him to trail behind me and tire him while I basically do whatever I want.

"On one condition" he released a sigh.

"Hm?" I hummed.

"You don't get to threaten me or play any games"

"I can't promise that, but, I'll try" I smiled. He fell right into my trap. I mean, who wouldn't get soft on me if I'd look this sexy wearing a skin tight dress and looking at him underneath my lashes. Nothing's changed. He's still vulnerable around me. And I love it.
