The cool night air brushed across my cheeks as I ran, my lungs felt like a furnace and all I could hear was the sound of my feet as well as the constant pounding in my ear.  I was in full adrenaline mode so despite my body shutting down I had to will myself to go on, I can't let them catch me.

It feels like I have been running for hours since I escaped in nearby bushes, my feet are sore as I am not wearing shoes, I am hungry and dehydrated and god knows this bag is heavy but I can't let them catch me.

I am pretty sure my face is swollen from the beating I got, I don't how my limbs are still in tact, my clothes are torn and muddy and I am sure I resemble a madwoman 'but when I look at it, I am a bloodclat mad woman because if I go back me sure dem ago kill me' said my inner voice.

I finally stopped to catch my breath when I figured I covered enough ground for the time being , it got dark really fast 'me sure couple Macka ina me foot bottom'. At that same time  I saw a car coming and I ran right out there "if a dirt a dirt" I said to no one in particular. I am lucky that he had sharp brakes because he stopped and immediately came out of the car " Ayy gyal ya madwoman, why u choose fi kill yourself when yuh see my car" I walked to the car and shouted "sorry sir please help me duh".

Once I stepped in the light and he realized how I looked he shouted "lawd god wah who do this to u child". "Me can't talk right now, we need fi move now!!" .I saw a light and I heard the sound of a car coming "sir please me a beg u come Mek we leff now". Before I knew it the car came to an abrupt stop and five men jumped out "Pinky the man a wait pon yuh". I instinctively Ran behind the car.

"Big ole man like Unu, why Unu nuh lowe the people dem Pitney" the old man said "Ayy bwoii Better u lack chat inuh and come out a people bizniz" one of the five men said. I was behind the car standing like a scared little girl when I heard it BANG!! Followed by the sound of the man's body falling to the floor. I took off running into the scheme close by. Once I heard the engine roar I jumped across someone's fence and landed in a yard .

I could still hear them driving around the scheme, I was lucky there wasn't a dog inside or Else I would be torn to pieces. So there I was hiding in someone else's yard in the middle of Hampton Green, Spanish town thinking about what got me in this situation.
