Celeste took a deep breath. She looked back at the dark corner where a figure of a man stopped by. Her legs shivered as she saw him.
She couldn’t fathom what she saw. She couldn’t even understand it. Was it a man? A person? Or a demon? She didn’t know. But the glimpse of it was enough to frighten her.
She succumbed to her fears. Her heart was erratically beating.

She shook her head. She brushed her eyes in panic, frustration, and remembered horror. It might just be her imagination but the fact that she could still see it, alive and still moving, frightened her even more.
