January 1, 1940 - 9:30 AM
I looked up. Someone was dragging me. My eyes closed. I looked again. Alex was dragging me. Why? Before I knew it, I was in my room. In my "bed." I looked to my sides, Alex and Alicio were both in their beds. Sleeping. Then I did the same. Sleep. It felt great. Sleeping.
January 1, 1940 - 10:30 AM
I heard gunfire, people yelling, it woke me and everyone else up. Me, Alex and Alicio were all getting geared up. Me the fastest.
"Hurry up guys we don't have all day!" I said to them a little bit angrily.
I got my rifle in my hands, put my backpack on, then I ran to the entrance of the hut and peeked the barrel of the rifle through the door. I saw Nazis gathered up in the middle of the fort, aiming their guns at three partisan soldiers. It looked like there were only three nazis. Probably an abondened group. Alicio came up, but not Alex.
"Woah.... What the heck." Whispered Alicio at my side.
Just shoot one of them at the count of three." I told him aiming down at one of their heads.
"One, two, three!" I whispered as we both shot BAM! BAM! We then pulled back our guns' bolts quickly and shot the last nazi at the same time. Then as soon as me and Alicio ran to the soldiers Alex came, puzzled he ran right behind us.
"What the heck happened." I asked a soldier who had just stood up.
"Me and my two comrades here were guarding the fort when all of the sudden came four nazis running angrily, shooting the sky. We managed to kill one of them but then another sneaked on us and held his gun at my head. He told us to walk into the fort. We did so, they threw us at the ground and waited to shoot us, then you guys came." he said exhausted and scared.
"Well that's interesting." I looked at a nazi laying on the ground. He carried a satchel. I picked it up from him. Inside was a letter, it read,
"Dear General Hovloski Sachsenutherzen,
I need you to find the fort that has been hurting our troops and destroy it once and for all, if you don't succeed and I see you again, you won't live much longer. -Wilhelm Keitel""I guess he didn't succeed at destroying whatever base this guy was talking about." I said to myself.
I handed the note to Alicio, then he handed it to Alex.
"That's nice to know." Said Alex handing back the note. I searched the satchel for more things that could be useful. Nothing.
Then I saw a tank and more than a hundred Nazis behind it. This was the base they were trying to destroy...
"Guys look at the entrance..." I said scared pointing to the entrance of the fort.
"Oh no..." Said Alex looking at the soldiers.
"Ugh." Said Alicio simply.
"What a surprise." I added to the short conversation.
The alarms started going off. Their noise loud as heck, bringing all of the soldiers to the fight.
I ran to cover and pulled my Anti-Tank weapon from my backpack. Then I aimed at the tank. BAM! The rocket came out of the launcher. It exploded the tank as quick as I fired. The nazis became aware of us knowing their location. They took cover and fired at us. I reached in my backpack for my Grenade, chucked it far as I could into the bundle of Germans and BOOM! It erupted creating a little explosion. Then I pulled out my automatic, Thompson and took short peeks at the nazis and fired. It had surprising firepower. I started spraying all I could with the "Tommy" And did quite successfully. Then I pulled out my pistol. BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! All the shots screamed coming out of the barrel. A field medic was taking cover and bandaging all of the injured soldiers, running from person to person quick as he could and in this battle there were more casualties than ever, these nazis were actually trained good.
A nazi officer showed up and directed his Nazis to climb the walls. BAM! That officer wasn't going to boss those people again. I saw the nazis trying to climb the wall. They had lassos that they had thrown to the top of the spiky wooden logs that walled the fort. I couldn't shoot them, I'd get shot at doing so. I waited at the bottom of the wall they were climbing. One's leg showed up, then the other leg. BAM! The nazi fell right beside me. I could tell that the other nazis were already going back down. Good. I peeked out of my cover, I couldn't see anyone, until a large group of nazis charged at us shooting. That was close. I held my rifle looking at the ground behind my cover, some thick sandbags. I saw a small puddle with my reflection. And above my head a plane. It looked as if it was going far so that it could come back and dive bomb us. I pulled out my Launcher, loaded a Rocket into it and fired. BOOM! I hit the plane's wing. It went soaring down all in one piece except for one lost wing. It looked as if the pilot was trying to balance the plane, but before we knew it, it hit the ground on the opposite side of the fort with hardly any noise. I had to take a look at it. But to get out I'd need to go through the entrance, where I was at, and where the swarming nazis were at.
I fired at the nazis trying to eliminate them as fast as I could so that I could go to the plane. I used my rifle. BAM! *Cling* The shell falls. BAM! Another shell falls out. The rifle was doing good, since the last nazis in sight were pretty far away. Alicio came to my side and assisted me. BAM! BAM! Then we both pulled the bolts back and forward. BAM! BAM! And again. Alex rushed to us and slid, then we were all side by side sharing the same cover. Alex poked his gun over the top and fired. RATATATATATATATATATATATATATAT! The machine gun screamed letting out its bullets quick as possible. I peeked out and saw no one, then I felt a bullet brush right past me.
"AH!" I yelled.
"Are you alright?!" Asked Alicio in a scared tone.
"Yes, but they almost got me...." I replied.
"The almost is what counts." Said Alex who was overhearing the conversation.
"GRENADE! TAKE COVER!" Yelled Alicio running to the other side of the entrance. Alex and I ran behind him, I didn't know where the grenade was but if I just followed Alicio I would be alright.
The grenade exploded and we were on the other side of the entrance of the fort with Alpha squadron 6.
"Woah mates, won't you look at that!" Exclaimed one of them talking in an Australian accent pointing at the small explosion.
"Hah they must've been throwing blind! There's no one there!" exclaimed one of them letting out a chuckle.
"We were there..." I said as everyone looked at me as if I had come out of nowhere. Then they turned around and kept firing at the raiders.
The firing was constantly going on, it felt as if it was never going to end. Then an explosion came from the sky. We looked up, then we saw A group of planes with British flags under their wings bombing the Germans. The bombs were soaring in the air dropping out of the plane, and not hitting the fort at all. The planes finally flew away and we waved hoping they would wave back.
"Wow." Said one of the men looking at the planes fly off into the distance. I tumbled to the ground, and layed there, because tired as I was I didn't care about what I was laying on, I just cared about laying there.
