January 1, 1940 - 10:30 PM
We started running to the mountains, we were getting closer every second. Then we saw a white light coming from the top of the mountain. It was just shining up there, there had to be someone up there.
"Guys, there's a light up there!" Said Alicio excited.
"Yea I know." I seconded.
"Oh yea. There is." said Alex looking up as we ran.
We ran for a little more and finally reached the mountain, now we had to hike up. It wasn't too tall, it shouldn't be that hard.
"I'm tired..." Said Alicio in a low voice, drifting off to sleep.
"Well, this should help keep you awake." Said Alex handing him a coca cola.
"How do you just have so much food in that backpack?!" I asked him.
"Theres nothing but food in all of the pockets except one ammo pocket." he answered.
"That explains a lot." I added.
Alicio opened the drink and started drinking it, *gulp gulp gulp.* We arrived at a path in the mountain made of dirt with rocks and grass around it.
"We're almost there!" Said Alicio joyfully.
I could tell the soda helped keep him awake. Then we came across a large fenced off area with barbed wire fences, we could see everything inside the fences, there was just a little hut inside.
"Guys stay hidden, just in case this is the wrong place." I said as both of them went behind some bushes.
I saw a broad, tall man come out of the hut. He was holding a bottle of something and had a holstered pistol, and he wasn't a nazi, for if he were he probably have a swastika armband.
"Guys I think it's the right guy, move out." I whispered.
I stood up and the man pulled his pistol out of his holster as fast as he could.
"Who the heck are you mate?" He said aiming the gun at me.
"I found your diary, Frederick Vosch right?" I replied.
"Yes... Come in." he said opening the gate to the fenced area.
I came in, followed by Alex and Alicio. He walked into his hut, and there we saw a wall with a large assortment of weapons, German weaponry all in gun racks covering almost an entire wall.
"Woah, where did you get these?" Alicio asked.
"I've been fighting... And looting." He said.
"And you've been here alone this whole time?" I asked him curiously.
"No, I have this cute thing." He said as a German Shepard came from behind him.
"So what the heck is this place?" I asked.
"Honestly I don't know, I found it some months ago as I was walking along the mountains looking for shelter." He answered.
"How did you lose your diary? Or did you just bring it to the penthouse yourself?" I asked wondering of the answers he could say.
"Well, I dropped it as I was climbing a mountain a couple miles west." He said oddly looking at the diary I was holding.
"May I have it, the diary?" he asked.
I handed him the diary and watched as he read the few entries. He seemed surprised and amazed. I felt good being the one that put a smile on his face.
"Let's go and sleep." He said looking at us three.
"Do you have enough beds?" Asked Alicio.
"No... But I have some pillows and blankets that you can use to sleep on the ground..." He said wondering if we would want to sleep on the floor.
January 2, 1940 - 7:45 AM
I woke up to a loud screaming on the door, someone was hitting it hard repetitively the screams multiplied and the knocking grew louder and faster. Frederick woke up, he looked at me and then the door.
He grabbed a knife and walked up to the door, he placed his hand on the knob and in a quick swipe the door opened, then the noise and the knocking stopped and there was no noise no one was even at the door. No footprints either like if it had been a ghost but not quite.
