Danny adjusted his bowtie, struggling with the blue bow around his collar. He wore a comfy dress shirt and was annoyed, he was going to just wear his hoodie but his mom wanted him to wear a bowtie. Of course, it was all about them, they were trying to look good for the people they didn't care about in college. He walked into the big party room, which was dark and covered in streamers. People were already showing up, they were early and Danny's scowl turned into a small uncomfortable frown. He stayed by the door when he entered, looking at the stage to see the fancy band. It wasn't even anything good and he wondered why Vlad hired them, they could've just used a jukebox or turntables.

"Why do you continue to wear that mask?" Danny looked at Vlad, a hand reaching up hold the masks side protectively. He worried the creepy old man would try to take it off of him.

"It's something from my family, before the Fentons." Vlad rose an eyebrow, humming and seeming somewhat unconvinced. Had Jack or Maddie told him about the adoption? He seemed so calm when he mentioned it.

"Of course, I won't remove it then." Vlad gave Danny a smile and the teen smiled under his mask, actually feeling pretty calm with him nearby. He was creepy, but he made Danny feel safer with all of these people in the room. He felt different to the others, like him. Vlad noticed it too, but didn't ask. Even though he wanted to test a theory later.

"Daniel, could you get something for me? I've forgotten my glasses in my bedroom and I need them to read my welcome speech." Danny looked up from playing with his tie, uncomfortable at the states he got from most of the adults and kids in the large partying room. The room was elegant and had a chandelier, which Danny imagined falling onto the group of people.

"Where's the bedroom?" Danny looked at Vlad, somewhat jealous at how easily he could pull off a suit. "It's down the hall with the rest of your family's rooms, a few doors down." Vlad left it vague, leaving Danny to figure it out. He watched the teen leave and head to find his glasses.

Danny flipped his mask up over his face on his walk, not seeing anyone nearby. He found Vlad's room, which had the door cracked open with the glasses in full view. They were simple reading glasses, black and plastic. Danny frowned slightly and felt cold, seeing his ghost sense slip from his mouth. He shivered as he walked into the room, switching to his ghost form and pulling his mask back over his face. He looked around, feeling anxious and definitely getting ready to run or fight if he needed to. Of course, he didn't see the invisible ghost flying up in the corner or the room, watching him with a smile on his face. Danny got the glasses and turned invisible, leaving the room and flying back to the party room before he turned back to his human form to give Vlad his glasses.

Danny looked around, not seeing Vlad until a few minutes after entering the room again, seeing him carrying a drink and coming from the table covered in food. Vlad smiled wide when he saw his nephew, taking the glasses from him and drinking some tea and putting the reading glasses on his face. "Thank you Daniel, I have to go say a few words to the guests. So, if you'll excuse me."

Danny nodded and sighed as Vlad walked away, tuning out his speech and just leaving the party after getting bored. He went explore the manor, figuring he could get away with it while Vlad and his parents were busy. He walked around idly, turning invisible when he decided to explore the mansion. He was used to a large house, and his curiosity got the better of him when he kept sensing ghosts around. He didn't have much power in his human form, but he could turn invisible and float, he could go intangible too so he quietly flew through the floor, going down and ending up in a lab. He frowned, guessing that his uncle was just as ghost obsessed as the Fentons. He stepped onto the floor, quiet as he looked around. He frowned more at the smell, wincing at the dried ectoplasm on the walls and floor. For a rich guy, he apparently didn't let his cleaners in here. Danny went to grab his thermos, getting a little overpowered with the smell. But it wasn't on his belt anymore, so of course he panicked, jumping up and hovering in the air, grabbing around his body and belt to be sure he didn't just forget where it was.

"Are you looking for this, Daniel?" Danny jerked his head around, wincing internally at the pop his neck let out. He looked at a ghost, he was taller than him and blue, which was honestly somewhat weird. Red eyes and a fanged smile made him self conscious of his looks, of the small fangs he had in his mouth.

"Yeah actually, I am. So I'd appreciate it if I got it back." Danny felt anxious, uncomfortable. He was being stared down by the unknown ghost, and he was freaked out by how he looked like a knock off depiction of dracula.

"Are you a horror fan by any chance? You look great in that cosplay!" Danny felt calmer when he could joke, teasing the other ghost and laughing when he scowled, throwing the thermos at him.

"It's empty anyways boy, your resource for food is gone!" Danny flipped the thermos back to his belt, sighing in annoyance. His day was boring and he didn't want to deal with a weird ghost that knew his name.

"Who the hell are you?" Danny rose an eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at the way the other ghost extravagantly flipped his cape, which was very uncalled for.

"I am Vlad Plasmius, the world's first ghostly halfa and the richest man in Wisconsin!" Danny frowned in confusion, scowling slightly.

"Uncle Vlad? Why did you steal my shit? Why are you being so fucking cryptic about this anyways?" Danny was very annoyed and hovered down to the floor, sighing and starting to explore the lab while Vlad watched him, surprisingly alright with his exploration.

"Because, dear Daniel, I had no one to help me when I became a halfa and I wish to be your mentor." Vlad smiled at Danny, who was interested but not completely convinced.

"Alright Uncle, teach me what you know."
