"This is fucking stupid! Argh!" Danny just got back to school, stuck at home he'd done most of his homework but missed a lot of school work. That meant he'd have to do extracurricular work, and he didn't have time to do that when he was trying to figure out his eating situation. He was in the school library with Sam and Tucker, trying to figure out something he could do quickly and easily.

"Hey it's alright, maybe we could do it for you while you explore the ghost zone? Maybe steal stuff from your parent's lab?" Tucker was smiling at Danny, trying to cheer him up after he had an outburst and nearly broke the computer, thankfully Sam grabbed his hands before he did. Danny let out an aggravated noise and pulled his hands away from Sam, fixing his mask. He should probably start keeping it home but he didn't like the idea of people in public seeing his face.

"Yeah right Tuck, we're not doing that. How about Danny does an assignment on the gorilla at the zoo? He's Sampson, the purple-back gorilla and the last of his species. Maybe? We don't know for sure yet..." Sam pulled up a picture of the creature, blue eyes staring at the screen and white and purple fur splotching the pretty creature.

"Right now I just need something to eat," Danny mumbled, crossing his arms and letting out a sigh. He was more irritable recently, but perhaps that's because of his new hunger. It hurt, like he'd gone days starving himself and his stomach was trying to squish itself, or at least eat itself. He was easy to anger and just generally in a bad mood even when he tried not to be. "Yeah, let's visit the gorilla. Later though? I just need to find something to make this stop."

"Do you want us to come with you?" Sam started to get up from her seat and Tucker moved away from the small cuticle when Danny swayed, turning to head out the door.

"No way! I don't want you guys getting hurt. Could you maybe just get some information on the gorilla for me, please?" Danny shook his head, looking somewhat woozy but determined to keep his friends from going into the ghost zone with him. So, he left and got his friends to help him with extra credit assignments. Thank fuck.

Danny was in his ghost form, his mask still on his face and his bookbag still on his shoulders. He was desperate but he was calming down when he flew around the ghost zone. The ectoplasm was everywhere, it wasn't enough to completely sustain him though. It just helped while he went on his search for food. He flew around the ghost zone for a few hours, finding a palace and trying to nab some of the fruits. The ghost of the lair didn't like it, but once he got to explain why he was there she was nice enough to let him try one of the apples. Unfortunately, it didn't help. But it was delicious! The ghost, Pandora, was extremely lovely too. He went on his search though and found an island, it was like a small jungle and he found exactly what he was looking for there. It was the perfect hunting ground and had a lot of animals to eat, he stayed for maybe an entire 2 hours just hunting. He made sure to keep leftovers though, he kept it all in the Fenton thermos and went back to the portal, deciding it was better to start on that assignment than procrastinate.

"It seems you've missed something, Whelp!" The ghost of the jungle, the hunter of the lair was spying on Danny, watching him leave. He looked like a robot, tall and large and metal, he had jetpacks even though he could fly normally and float. Still, he used them to get around, like right now as he went after Danny. He fired rockets at him, using ectoplasm and even nets as he flew after Danny through the ghost zone, portal, and human world. He was angry, upset that the teenage boy would dare enter and hunt in his lair without permission.

"Hey! I didn't know you were here! I'm sorry! I was hungry!" The ghost ignored Danny, the two making a mess as the teen tried to avoid the robot ghost. Sometimes they'd exchange punches and Danny got a chance to explain himself, it was likely the ghost would be angry for a long time, however.

"I know you're under an Ancient's protection boy, but do that again and I'll hunt you down to put your pelt on my wall!" The ghost was calming down and Danny nodded his head, floating a good 6 feet away as they both hovered in the air, Danny winced at the mess he made, the ground was torn open and some light posts were broken in half or bent, walls smashed open and a few windows were missing. Ugh, he hated those stupid rockets.

"I got it! And I'm sorry! I won't do it again, I was just really desperate!"

"Thank you for apologizing Whelp, but never steal from Skulker, the ghost zone's greatest hunter!"

This was silly, stupid even. They were at a stakeout in a zoo after-hours to watch a damn giant monkey. This was so dumb! Tucker groaned softly and paced around the small viewing area, crossing their arms and fiddling with their sleeves. Sam was standing by the edge and watching the gorilla, binoculars in hand as she wrote things down in her notebook. Danny suddenly appeared, flying at high speeds and unable to move. He lost control of himself in the air and was heading for the gorilla's cage, crashing into it and avoiding damaging anything by turning intangible, landing on the floor and slowly rising out of it. Samson was standing above him, too close for comfort invading personal space. Danny felt something touch the top of his head and glanced up, mortified to see that Samson was not gendered correctly. It seemed Samson, was going to be called Samantha in the papers after that. The name was suggested by the Manson family, for obvious reasons. At least Danny got a great grade for quite a few assignments for school.
