Norman Bates- glad to help

(This chapter is in no way romantic since Y/N is a minor, it's just Norman being a good dad👌)

Y/N was a hitchhiker he had been away from home since he was 14 and was now 16, he had hoped to find some work here and there, and he had, he managed to save up enough money to stay at a motel for about a few weeks or so, maybe 6? He looked extremely disheveled, his clothes were partly torn and dirty with mud and maybe moss, but he managed to keep himself clean with river water, but unfortunately it made him smell horrible, no one could bare to stand near him because he smelled so strongly of fish, vomit, sweat, and swampy river water, he had many cuts and bruises littering his body he had fallen from high places, gotten mugged, and a bit of it was self inflicted.

Y/N had been walking for hours and had finally come across a motel "Bates motel" it looked nice enough so he walked into the reception area, he called out for a bit before a tall dark haired man walked in.

Y/N: Hello there sir, I need somewhere to stay and maybe even work? If you are in need of any extra help I'll be glad to work for free, orat least for a few nights of sleep, I also have the money to pay for it.

Norman: aren't you a little young to be out by yourself?

Y/N: I'm already 16, I can already work and I've been out since 14

Norman: oh my, are you lost? There's a police station nearby if you're in trouble

Y/N: NO, no, uhm, I'm a runaway, my dad was hardly a dad and I couldn't take it any longer

Norman: oh, well, you know, I am in need of some extra help around here, it can be quite tiring taking care of everything myself

Y/N: alright, oh and do you want the money right now or later?

Norman: since you are technically an employee now you can live here for free, just to help you save up some money for clothes and basic necessities

Y/N: thank you sir

Norman: call me Norman,

Y/N: ok, Norman Bates I'm assuming?

Y/N worked for Norman for months, Y/N and Norman grew closer and Y/N viewed Norman as a father figure, and eventually started calling him dad.
