Nick and Nik

Nicks perspective
I was at Charlie's house when ALL THE SUDDEN we hear a knock coming from the door. Charlie gets it and tells me that it is his little brother Oliver. "Charlie!" He says and wraps his arm around his leg. I love his brother. When char was in the hospital for hus mental health, I spent a lot of time with them in the car, and waiting rooms and stuff. Oh, and his sis Tori ,ofc. Charlie looks down to his lil brother and says "what did you need bud?". Oliver looks up at him with a blank expression. "I forgot." I laugh; I little bit too loud probably because he hears me and notices I'm in the room. He runs up to the bed where I am laying, and jumps on my lap and gives me a big hug. "Nick!". I feel my heart melt, and I hug him back. "Hey Ollie!" I say. "Oh Nick. There is this girl in my class named Nik. Crazy! Except she said her name is just Nik, even though the teachers call her Nick, or Nicholas. And everyone calls her by he. I guess they got confused and thought she was a boy. She does have short hair and like cars, but I know girls like that stuff too, so I say she is she." Oh. My. Fucking. God. THE UTTER CUTENESS. Ollie is so freaking adorable. The fact that he is in Primary School and standing up for this little girl without even understanding she is trans. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Charlie's perspective
I'm so proud of my boy, however I want to make sure this little girl is safe. "Ollie, you have been to Nik's house before right?" "Yes, why?" "When her parents talk to her, do they say he or she?" "They say she!", he replies. I mentally sigh in relief, and then ask him my next question. "Ok, so if you don't know that is completely fine, but do you know if she needs anything" I ask. "Hmmmm OH! She did say she wants to get a wig or longer hair, but her parents don't know how to do that stuff." Nick and I both smile. We look at each other and know exactly what each other are thinking. The Nick says, "how bout I pick you up from school tomorrow?". Ollie happily agrees.

Nicks perspective
I am so glad Charlie said something, bcuz we both know what this situation is like, even if niks parents are supportive of her. The next day, I pick up Ollie with Charlie, and Elle. There waiting next to Ollie is Nik. I can see Elle smiling, and then she says "she looks a lot like me when I was younger". Then we get out of the car and Ollie hugs us. Nik introduces herself. She says "hi, I'm Nik she\her pronouns. I know Charlie, and you must be Nick!" She looks so happy as she points to me and I confirm, but she she look even happier when she sees Elle. "Omg. Ollie was this the surprise! Are you actually Elle Argent!!!!!!??" Elle laughs. "You've heard of me?" "Uh yeah! My mom follows you on insta! You are my role model!!" She says. "Well it's great to finally meet you. Let's get to business then!". We all agree and hop into the car and I drive to Charlie's house. There, Elle takes out the content of a bag that includes makeup, clothing, and hair things. 2 hours later they are done, and everyone is amazed by Nik's transformation. Her short hair is now shoulder length extensions with pink dyed at the end, her plain unisex t-shirts and shorts is now a pretty blue dress with ruffles and matching bows in her hair, and a tiny bit of blush, as she is a little young for makeup. Then we hear a knock at the door. Her parents come in to get her, and when they see her her mum automatically starts crying and they hug her. "Thank you so much. We honestly have not had the time or money to get Nik everything that she needs." Says her mom. "This is such a blessing. We appreciate this so much."says her dad. They thank Elle and everyone has there last hugs before Nik and Elle go home. I stay because I practically live at the Spring household (🤪) and a little later when me and Charlie are laying down watching TV he says "we did a good thing there, and I'm so happy nik is happy". I agree.
