Louis's eyes are blurry, and the build-up of tears is making it hard to focus in on the water drops that are slowly running down the passenger side car window. He zones out completely, he doesn't notice how cold he is, his hands trembling, the white steam unknowingly leaving his mouth every time he exhales. He watches the sun now completely disappear, a soft orange tinge still left illuminating the sky.

There's a deep sorrow succumbing throughout his body. Never in his life has he felt this numb, so empty, and ever so, alone. Lately, all the days had seemed to roll into one. Some days he felt fine, he could handle all the sadness, the heartache, and the betrayal. Then there were days where it all hit him at once and yes he would cry, usually hidden away where no one would see how pathetic he had become.
Then...
sometimes there were days like today...
where he felt ....... absolutely nothing at all.

These days were worse and the scariest because that's when the little voice came back, his inner demons persuading him to end it all. He felt at war with not only his head and heart but that nagging subconscious convincing him to just do it, end his life, and be done with it all, and today.......
Louis felt like letting them win.

That's how he ended up here this cold evening on the cliff's edge. As he looked over the city of London as the sun descended, he realized he didn't care anymore if there was a light at the end of the tunnel. He had pulled his jumper sleeves over his knuckles and tilted his head back to take one last look at the sky while he took a deep breath. He was just sick and tired and feared being trapped in a circle of never-ending loneliness and despair.
