Chapter 7

*Adam's POV*

All days is like the usual. After breakfast I go straight to my office and start to have my work that's getting pile up. "Call me when you need something." I smile to Talia and close the door in my office. It is just located here in the first floor.

I was about to finish reading a 10th document when I hear a soft knock in the door. "Come in." I said without looking at the door that's slowly opening. "I brought some lunch." My gaze lift up and saw Talia carrying a tray with a smile on her face. Realization hit me in the heart.

Nathalie never did something like this or even cook for me, she's so far from this woman in front of me who look so much like her except the eyes. Talia's eyes can easily captivates anyones' heart specially when there sparkling because of happiness.

"Hey? tsk! you're probably hungry." Her voice snap me back to reality and that I was gazing at her. "Ahm... yeah. I never thought about the time." She rolled her eyes. "Ofcourse, you are."

I chuckles and join her in the couch. To my surprise, she put all the plate in the coffee table infront of me and put the tray beside her on the floor. She's sitting in the floor in the other side of the table.

"Eat Adam. Your body needs energy." She smile and stand up.

I suddenly have the urge to stay with her. Before I can think, my body acts by itself and holds her free hand. "Will you... join me?" She frowns that I find so adorable. "I'll bring my food here."

She give me a quick smile before she left. I patiently wait for her before I can touch my food. After a few moments, she step inside and bring a tray. "Let's eat." She said and dig in. As I was eating, I realize something. It is the joy that I felt whenever I'm with her.

She never miss to amaze me everytime and that was the interesting part about her. "Psst!" I look at her. She's looking at my half eaten steak. "Can I have some?" She look at me with those puppy look that I can't resist and I laugh making her chuckles. "You can have it." She squeel and take my steak in her plate. She look so happy when it comes to food.

I'm drinking my water when my phone suddenly rings. I look at Talia and she just nod, still eating some fruit loops in the bowl that Mrs. Austin brought a while ago. "Yes?" I answer without looking at the caller ID. "Hey, son." I frown and look at my phone only to find it's dad. "You called?" I asked him and look at Talia, busy munching a kiwi. "I cancel all your commitments and other business matters for 2 weeks. You need to unwind a bit with Talia and maybe... maybe freshen up your mind away from the city."

I rub my throbbing temples, I think I'm going to have a headache. "It's my company dad. Who will take care of it if I will be gone for two weeks?" I asked, though I like the idea. "Don't worry about it. Just accept this, ok? Please don't be so stubborn, it's for your own good." I sigh and meet Talia's gaze. "Ok. We will leave tommorow." I heard a sigh of relief and then dad hang up.

"Who is it?" She asked while stirring the bowl with her spoon. "It's dad. He said we need to get away for awhile. I already agreed, Talia." I'm waiting for her to freak out just like Naths' but she just shrug. "It sounds fun. I'll cancel all my commitments, then."

My eyes widen in surprise. "Really? y-your not kidding?" She chuckles and look at me like I was a despicable human. "Ofcourse. And besides, I want to freshen up my mind away from the city. Where are we going?" She looked at me and I smile. "I know a perfect place before dad suggest it. You will love that place." Her eyes sparks and I can sense the excitement in her.

"We will leave tommorrow so you better pack up later after your done with your business, ok?" I said and she vigorously nod still smiling that radiates, making me feel that my office were brighten up and the atmosphere became so comfortable. I smile too and help her to put the plates in the tray. I was about to take it when she look at me with a frown. "I can manage. Finish your work, hmm?" She smile making me just nod at her, obeying what she said like a good puppy.

I sigh. What is this feeling? I never felt like this when I'm with Nathalie or even the women who first came into my life. It is... different. I sigh again in frustration. What am I going to do?

It felt like I was... I was... falling inlove with her.

There! I admit it. Just one more thing she will do then I know I would difinitely put under her spell. But... we're married, right? There's nothing wrong about it, right? And besides, Nath leave me first, leaving me broken and Talia was there to save me. God! she even punch the guy I wanted to torture with his story. Ugh! I'm sooo doom.
