Melody starred at the bottom of Lyric's bunk. She felt like she was still falling in a dream, and everything around her was blurry. With great struggle, Melody untangled herself from her blankets and rolled off her bunk. She hit the floor with a loud thump, startling Bailey awake. "Oh, its just you," Bailey Said, looking down on Mel from her bunk. Mel smiled in what she hoped was an apologetic smile before she hopped up and walked over to the dresser. She pulled open the middle drawer and dug through it for a T-shirt and pants. By the time she had actually found an outfit, Bailey had already gotten up and started brushing her uneven brown hair. "Can you believe its the last day at school? Man I'm gonna come home fuller than I've been in months!" Melody grinned, "The teachers gonna order pizza and give us candy and let us play all day!" Melody smiled at Bailey, and Bailey smiled back. Melody grabbed a bright orange hoodie and her backpack and opened the bedroom window. Bailey turned around at the screeching sound of the window opening, "Melody... Why are you climbing out the window?" she whispered. Melody simply shrugged and jumped out, landing in a bush right outside. She climbed out the bush and ran for the sidewalk, as she did she turned and waved at Bailey, and Bailey waved back. For once in a long time, Melody could pretend she was normal, that her life was normal
