A/N: Now, I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I feel the need to warn everyone that this chapter onwards will contain smut scenes! They are also the first ones I've ever written, so I apologise in advance if they are cringey. Anywho, I hope you guys enjoy...not too much though.😏
The look Four was giving right now was making me second-guess myself. As he slowly blinks at me as if I had a few screws loose, I let out a sigh.
I guess I should've seen this coming, Four has always been very adamantly against my aggressiveness towards Eric (though, I'll say he fucking deserves it).
"You want me to do what?" He questions looking horrified and I roll my eyes at him.
"Relax, it's not like I'm asking you to marry me." I shrug, "It's just...harmless flirting."
"Harmless?" He repeats, raising a brow at me. "You call running pointless rounds every morning and having to sleep on the cold hard floor harmless?"
"It's annoying, yes. But it's not like I'm hurt." I tell him, "So, yes; harmless...sort of."
He stares at me wordlessly for a minute before he states, "Zeke's right, you are insane."
I let out an incredibly unladylike snort at his comment and rolled my eyes.
"Come on," I continued on my mission to recruit him as my partner in crime, "Wouldn't you like to get the chance to piss Eric off? Even you have to admit that it's kind of amusing."
Four's lips kick up into a small smirk before he finally agrees, "It is."
"So, you're in, then?" I asked hopefully to which Four raises a brow.
"That's not what I said," He deadpans.
In all honesty, if I hadn't seen the more playful side of him while he was with his friends, I would've thought Four was just as cranky as Eric was. But since I could attest to the fact that he was quite fun to hang around sometimes, I'd have to admit that he wasn't half as bad as my ex-bestie was.
"Pretty please?" I pleaded, slapping my hands together in front of me like I was about to say a prayer. Hell (or should I say Heaven?), maybe I should.
"No," Four answers without missing a beat.
I blow out a breath, slumping against the desk behind me while Four continues to set the room up for training. Judging by the contents he was laying out, we were going to be taught how to throw knives.
"Is this because you're crushing on the Abnegation girl?" I corked my head to the side, watching him appraisingly.
He pauses, "I don't have crushes."
I snorted once again, "You're such a fucking liar."
The hairs on the back of my neck stand as I feel someone's gaze on me and I peer over my shoulder to see Eric glaring at me from the entrance of the Pit.
With a smirk, I shoot him the finger before turning my attention on Four once again.
"I'm going to ask you one last time. If your answer's still no, then I promise I'll never ask again."
I raise a brow at him when Four turns to me looking like he was actually considering it.
It seems I wasn't the only one who'd noticed Eric's presence as Four raises his gaze to look at him with furrowed brows.
He returns his gaze to me, "Nothing physical, just flirting?"
"Listen, if you want to kiss, all you have to do is ask." I joked and he rolled his eyes at me, "In all seriousness, there won't be any making out. Just fake-flirting." I confirm.
