Two years ago, if someone had told me that I would one day end up murdering Eric, I would've laughed right in their stupid faces.

But right now, the idea didn't seem too far-fetched anymore.

I could kill him. I really could.

Last night, a cute Dauntless-born boy, who had introduced himself as Jay, had come up to me while I was sitting alone waiting for the rest of my friends to join me at our usual table in the dining hall and had asked me if I would like to join him for breakfast this morning.

Naturally (because I was a sane person who would rather be caught dead than pine over my asshole-ish ex-best friend), I said yes.

Now, I stood in front of Jay, who was spotting a twin set of swollen black eyes and staring at his feet like a child who'd just been reprimanded by his parents as he apologised, telling me how he'd made a mistake and how he had a small dick.

The last part was a bit of an overkill, but the moment my gaze had landed on Eric as he lounged on one of the benches by the entrance of the dining hall with that big fucking smug smile on his baboon-ass-looking face, I knew in an instant that he was the one who was behind this.

The asshole had cockblocked me, and one way or another, I was going to get my fucking revenge.

I stomp up to the ass-face and Eric raises to his feet as I approach him. Huffing out a breath, I fold my arms over my chest and glare up at him.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing, you little fuck-face?" I admit I was quickly running out of names to call him.

Eric snorts out a laugh at my insult, looking mighty pleased with himself.

"Baby, what makes you think I had to do anything?" He raises a brow in the direction Jay had disappeared in, "Is it really my fault that the guys scare easily?"

I narrow my eyes at him, feeling the overwhelming urge to jab my fingers into his. "Ugh! You're such a dick!"

Eric's smile only seems to grow wider as he takes a step towards me, closing me in against the bench behind me.

He then leans down until his lips are brushing against my ear and says, "If you want my dick so badly, all you'll have to do is ask." I suppress a shiver at the way his breath tickles my ear, "Because we both know no one else here can make you come like I can."

My lips parted in a gasp at his words and I resisted the urge to press my thighs together to relieve the ache that was starting to build between them.

I gather myself before Eric notices- well, at least I hope he hasn't- and straightened my shoulders, ignoring the way the movement brings our lips closer together and hummed thoughtfully, "Hm, I wouldn't say that just yet. It's easy to claim you're the best when you haven't had any competition to prove otherwise."

The smirk on his face falters a little but he recovers quickly, "Go ahead, Rory. You can try to find someone to replace me, but I can assure you he'll never be as good as I am," He challenges.

I rolled my eyes at him, raising my chin haughtily. "I think I will."

Turning on my heels, I made my way out of the dining hall with an extra sway to my hips, knowing that Eric's gaze was still on me.

I find Zeke, Shauna and Four in the far corner of the Pit and let my feet carry me over with a vengeance.

"Hey! How was the breakfast..."Shauna asks as she sees me approaching but quickly trails off, "Oh, I'm guessing it didn't go well?"

"Eric sabotaged my date," I huffed, sounding much like a petulant child.

Zeke presses his lips together, looking like he was barely able to contain his laughter and his voice comes out all choked up when he speaks, "What did he do?"

"He beat him up!" I raged, "And he probably threatened him or something because no dude would just volunteer information about how small their dicks are otherwise!"

That really does it for Zeke and the guy bursts out laughing so loudly that the sound of his laughter echoes through the entire place.

He ends up laughing so hard that his laughter transforms into hacking coughs that had Four patting him on the back until they subsided.

"Damn, Rory. Give a guy a warning before you say stuff like that," Zeke wheezes and I shoot him a glare. He raises his hands in front of him in surrender, "Geez, someone's in a mood," He muttered before adding, "Heck, I already helped you out the last time, I'm all in. If you need help to get back at him, just say the word."

I narrowed my eyes at him thoughtfully, "You wouldn't have someone who would fake-date me, would you?" I point a finger at Four, "This one's too busy being hung up about the Abnegation girl."

Four opens his mouth, looking like he wants to argue, but soon closes it with a shake of his head.

Meanwhile, Zeke's stroking his chin as if he was thinking long and hard about it before he finally shrugs, "Well, I do have a brother. But I'm not sure Uriah would be up for something like that." He raises to his feet, "But don't you worry that pretty little head of yours, Rory. I'll find you someone."

I nodded, muttering a quick thanks. I'm instantly alerted to Eric's presence, my skin prickling with awareness.

Looking over my shoulder, I spot Eric entering the Pit with a petite girl I found incredibly familiar.

She was tall, looking modelesque walking next to Eric, seeing as to how she was almost as tall as he was and her hair was a light shade of blonde, almost platinum, unlike the dark brunette I had remembered her to be. I hated to admit it, but she pulled it off perfectly well.

Jealously rears its ugly head at me as she throws her head back in laughter, placing a hand on Eric's bicep as if he was hers to touch.

Eric must've sensed me staring because he meets my eyes from across the space, his lips tipping up into a smirk.

The bitterness that settled in my stomach was a feeling I knew all too well- like an old friend that I haven't seen in a while but was still well acquainted with. Because that girl standing beside him had been the cause of my jealousy for years; fucking Emily.
