The new employee

Chap 16

Y/n POV:
This morning I woke up late to go to the Olsen's because I slept so badly all weekend  because of what happened with Lydia. I get up in a hurry, get dressed and go to my car. Fortunately for me, there were not many cars on the road. When I arrived, I realized that I had forgotten half of my stuff at home.

"This day is shaping up nicely" I mutter. I walk into the mansion and see the twins, so I take them with me and on my way I also pick up Scarlett and Zoe then take them into the garden.

"So I wanted to say thank you because of you four and more precisely because of Ashley and Zoe, Lydia and I broke up. Well we're taking a break instead" I explain to them while trying to keep my calm
"How can ut be our fault" Ashley retorts
"Oh I don't know maybe in the car when you told her that Elizabeth and I were close even though we're not together anymore which is completely untrue. There's also the fact that you, Ashley, told her that you'd rather see me date Elizabeth than Lydia" I throw back at her feeling the anger rise in my voice.

"Y/n, I'm really sorry" Zoe replies
"We just wanted to get to know Lydia" MK agrees
"Yeah right" I say
"I don't see why I should apologize" says Ashley. "Maybe I'm the only one saying this, but everyone here would rather see you dating Lizzie than Lydia. Besides, it was sure that it wouldn't have worked out between you given the little trust she had in you. The proof is that she chose to trust us over you" she says.

"I am very disappointed in you and I don't understand your problem of always meddling in other people's business. But you should know that I can also play this game" I answer with a smirk. "Elizabeth, can you please come ?"
"I'm coming" she replies.

A few seconds later, she is in the garden
"What's going on here ?" she asks
"I want you to know that your sisters and your so-called friends are having fun lying to you. Do you know what they were doing last night ?"
"They were here and they were watching a movie" she tells me
"That's not true. Yesterday they were all at the restaurant with me and Lydia because they wanted to get to know her" I explain.

She turns to her sisters and Zoe and Scarlett. "Tell me this is a joke" she asks them with tears in her eyes
"Liz... We're sorry" MK tell her
"Now we realize that this was a really bad idea" retorts Scarlett
"It's clear because of our bullshit, Lydia and
Y/n broke up and the worst part of it is that we lied to you and broke you trust in us" Zoe says
"That's for sure. The trust I had in you is gone. The worst part is that even my sisters lied to me" she told them before giving them a cold look and heading back inside.

Lizzie POV :
In all my life, I have never felt so alone. My sisters and best friends lied to me to go out with Y/n and her girlfriend well his ex now. After giving them an icy look, I took refuge in my room to be quiet. A few minutes later, I hear someone knocking at my door but I don't open it. But it opens revealing Y/n with a plate of pancakes on which she put chocolate and drew a man with whipped cream and strawberries, plus a cup of coffee.

"Room service" she announces to me with a small smile. "I know you like to eat this when you're sad so voilà"
"Thank you" I tell her while taking the plat and the cup
"Well I'll leave you" then se goes to the door
No, wait. Can you stay ?" I ask her
"Yes if you want" she answer while sitting next to me. "By the way for what happened a few minutes ago, I wanted to apologize. I was angry and I should never have thrown it away like that"
"You don't have to apologize but the girls should" I said.

"Maybe but I should have told you before or even sent you message" she adds lowering her head
"Hey, it's ok" I reassure her. "I don't blame you as long as you invite me for a drink"
She raises her head and a laugh escapes from her mouth. "Ok, that's find with me
"I know it's awkward to ask this but do you think you and Lydia were going to get back together ?"
"I honestly don't think so. I can't see myself being with someone who would rather trust people she just met than me. By the way, how was your date ?" she asks me
"It was great. We had a few drinks, talked and got to know each other better. I found out he was in a band called Milo Greene except I felt bad when I told him I didn't know his band" I tell her.

I can see out of the corner of my eye that she's laughing her head off because of my gaffe.

"That's just like you" she manages to tell me between two laughs
"Oh shut up" I answer her laughing in my turn
"I know it's going to be complicated but do you think we could be friends again ?" Y/n asks me with an hesitant voice
"Of course I do" I say with a big smile
"Cool".

Y/n and I spent the rest of the day together, I helped her unpack and put away the new books my dad bought. I can tell you there were books scattered all over the room it took us all day to get everything in order. I didn't say a word to my sisters, Scarlett and Zoe. We all ate without saying word to each other and then when the meal was over I went up to my room. A few minutes later, I am knocking on Y/n's door.

"You can come in" she said through the door
"Do you want to watch a movie or a series with me ?" I offer her
"Yeah, why not. Do you any ideas ?"
"Not really" I answer
"We could watch Back to the Future I" she suggests
"Sounds good " I say as I lay down on her bed.

Y/n grabbed the remote, turned on the TV and scrolled through until she found the movie. Once the movie was found, she laid down next to me on the bed and started the movie.
"I missed movie nights with Y/n" I think to myself.

Still some drama but it ends well for Y/n and Lizzie. Now that they're friends again, what's next 🧐
