The trio of Daryl, Chase, and Alexa rode in silence for most of the ride, lost in thought. Contemplating what they just witnessed. Just sitting in silence as they followed the caravan to where ever their destination may be. That was until Daryl spoke up, his words breaking the serious mood.

"Where did you two learn to run like that?" Alexa glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. He wasn't being his rude self, just genuinely curious.
"Track." She responded quietly. Her gaze was still on the road in front of her. Daryl nodded as he took his turn to glance at the girl.

Neither of them said anything. They sat that way in comfortable silence, till Alexa spotted the man's crossbow on the seat between himself and Chase.
"Where'd you learn to shoot?" She asked, her voice still quiet and her posture straight and forward.

"Self-taught." He grumbled. Alexa simply nodded. Clearly, neither of them talked unless they felt like it.
"What t'hell are we goin' into the city for?" Daryl suddenly grumbled as he turned his truck off the road and down a separate street.
Alexa shrugged.
Daryl stopped his truck, and the trio hopped out to find out why they were stopping.

"T'hell?" He asked as he walked up to the group.
"Regrouping," Rick said. "I'm thinking, we siphon gas, you take your bike, we get new cars and we head to Fort Benning." Daryl nodded as he tapped Alexa on the shoulder. She turned, raising an eyebrow curiously.

"Can you help me?" He asked, gesturing to the motorcycle that sat in the back of his pickup truck. Alexa nodded as she crouched down to tell her brother to stay near Lori before jogging off to help Daryl. He was already fussing around in the back of his truck when Alexa came around the open tailgate to help.

"What do you think?" He asked as he handed the girl a bike ramp.
"About what?" She quizzed, once again raising an eyebrow as she set up the ramp.
"Fort Benning." He said, moving to the other side of his bike.
"You're asking my opinion?" Daryl shrugged, but Alexa sighed. "It's a hundred twenty-five miles, and even if we get more gas, the odds of us getting there unscathed are slim to none."

Daryl started wheeling down his bike before responding. "That's all on you assuming, shit?"
"Pretty backed up assumptions. I mean, have you seen this group? They don't know what they're doing." Daryl squinted at the girl as he passed down his bike.

"How would you know?" Daryl quizzed, scratching his chin curiously as he watched the girl maneuver his bike down the ramp and onto the cement. Alexa scoffed before responding.
"Take a look around." She gestured to the group, who were siphoning gas and moving around their things. "Shane's screwing Lori. Rick doesn't know how to lead and he's blind to whatever shit his wife's pulling. Jacqui just gave up and Andrea's a loose cannon. This group is broken." She concluded before walking away.

Daryl stood in the back of his pick-up truck, baffled. He knew the girl was right, but somehow in the few days, she was with the group she had managed to figure out their problems faster than they could. And she was blunt about it.

Alexa ventured back to her brother crouching down in front of him. He smiled, his hand randomly drifting to her neck and opening their sister's compass locked.
"I miss her..." Chase said, still smiling.
"I do too." The boy's sister smiled back. "Come on let's go help the others."

As if reading the girl's mind Dale shouted out, "let's go, we're moving out."
Alexa gave one last reassuring smile to her brother before leading him over to Rick's new ride. The siblings packed into the very back. Carol, Sophia, and Carl in the middle. And Lori and Rick in the front. Before shutting the trunk of the car Daryl rode by on his motorcycle, sending a nod in her direction before speeding off.
