3rd POV:
It's a day like the other in Liyue. After the whole thing about Rex Lapis being assasinated, the people of Liyue run as smoothly as before. In the Wanmin restaurant, (y/n) is enjoying thier lunch with the famous chef herself, Xiangling. Xiangling loves to ask them to taste new recipes that she made. "So, what do you think? Should I add more slime condensate in it?" Xiangling ask, wanting to add things up if it's missing something. (y/n) thought for a minute before writing down in a piece of paper that said, 'It's deliscious Xiangling'. Xiangling cheered and said thankyou to (y/n) before telling cheff Mao to add it into the menu.
I'm sure you all are wondering why didn't they just talk.
You see, (y/n) is mute. They had been mute ever since their parents died. (y/n) originaly lived in Mondstadt. They loved to sing for their parents and even for the people of mondstadt. But soon they had to move to Liyue for a better job. At first, the road was normal, but then they were attacked by a hillichurl camp. Without combat expirience, their parrents ordered (y/n) to run away quickly to a near village. They cried as they reach the village. The village felt bad towards them and tried to help (y/n) find their parents. But their parents were found dead and buried in Liyue. She stayed in Liyue but gave themselves an oath to never sing or even talk ever again. They only sang whenever is their parents death aniversary.
(y/n) is currently walking to shop for some ingridients to cook with. When they bumped their head against someone. "Whoa there (y/n)." They heard a familiar voice. They looked up to see Childe, the 11th Fatui Harbinger. Despite being a harbinger, Childe helps (y/n) out a lot. (y/n) panicked and quickly wrote something on their notebook. They fliped it to let Childe read their message which read, 'Sorry Childe, I wasn't looking where I was going'. He chuckled for a while, before looking at the basket in her hand filled with ingridients. "Ah,i see you're shopping for ingridients as usual. It's very fortunate of me to find you here. Hmmm, how about getting food in the Wanmin restorant, my treat. So, what do you say?" Childe asks them. These past years after they met one day, he has been fond of having them around. He may have introduce them to a friend of his, who is not a fatui.
They quickly wrote in their book again, and now it said; 'Yeah, and I was just from the Wanmin restorant. Xiangling asked me to try out her new recipes'. Childe thought for a bit. "Then how about we visit Zhongli? I'm sure he wouldn't mind having tea time with us. Oh, and we could drop of the bags at your house." Childe offered. And that was the 'friend' I was talking about. The boy is like a walking wallet to Zhongli, whenever he forgotten to bring his wallet.
They tjought for a while, but nodded in the end. They wanted to visit him anyway, since it is quite long time since they have seen each other. So thw two walked to their house and went to Zhongli's place.
