Chapter five

I've recently gotten a few comments about people wanting me to update and maybe it's time I do. I don't quite like the plot anymore as it hardly has any drama or something intriguing. So I'll do a small twist where the renewed story starts. Also am I renaming the kids so  Zayn will now be called Jadyn (age 4), Liam's named  Mackay (age 6) now and I decided to change Niall to a girl named Caileigh(age 3). Hope you guys enjoy it and will continue reading the story! (sorry for the grammar mistakes I might make. I'm on my phone, because now my brothers laptop (I've been using since mine decided to let go of our love) has broken down too.) Also not to forget someone very special turned 22. I wish him the best birthday ever.

It was late at night and I was home with the children. Both Louis and I were invited to go out to the bar with his friends, but I decided not to go. I didn't, because I was having a terrible headache and wasn't feeling like drinking nor leaving the kids with a baby sitter.

I've never really felt comfortable about a stranger watching my babies while we were out.

Louis was working a lot lately and I wasn't having it. He had gained tons of stress, so the main reason he told me he was going out was to forget about all that stress for a bit.

I was actually hoping he'd stay with me, but clearly I wasn't good enough in getting him to forget about his stress.

I already tugged Jadyn and Mackay in, but my princess couldn't fall asleep so I let her cuddle with me tonight.

I had turned on a Barbie movie a while ago, yet she didn't see any bit of it. She had fallen asleep as soon as she tugged herself into my chest.

I closed my eyes after turning the tv off which the movie was playing on. Finally some peace and quietness.

Soon dozing off..

.....

I shut up in my bed when I heard a loud crash coming from downstairs. As I heard groaning I recognized out of millions, I knew it was Louis. he gently carried Caitlyn to her own room and tugged her in.

Walking down the stairs, my eyes found Louis laying down rubbing his forehead with my grandmother's, now broken, vas laying in pieces next to him.

I sighed and crouched down beside him. "What the hell Louis?" he whispered, because the least thing I wanted right now was waking the kids.

He fluttered his eyes open and just looked at me. "Harry? Christ.. what's happened" he mumbled, soon looking around and finding the expensive vas in pieces. "Shit did I do that?" Louis groaned and got up, but not being able to find his balance so he fell down, luckily, on the couch.

I didn't answer him and just started to clean up the mess he made. "I'm surprised you found your way home" I mumbled, quite pissed at
him. I didn't want to start any drama, but my head was gonna explode with emotions.

Soon I had cleaned up everything and held a hand out for Louis. He gently took it and I pulled him up. I wrapped his arm around my shoulder and helped him up the stairs to our room.

I had grown quite used to drunk Louis and being just his parents. Get him upstairs, brush his teeth, take his clothes off, lay him in bed. A nightly routine.

I turned off the lights and locked the front door. After getting back in bed, I turned back my to Louis and closed my eyes. He didn't even think about holding me or thanking me, not once.

I squeezed my eyes shut, forcing myself to fall back asleep and soon I finically succeed.

.....

Waking up around six AM, I gave up on getting more sleep and just made my way down. I sat in the kitchen and let my puffy eyes scan the news paper as I waited for the coffee machine to finish my cup.

It was only until 11 till the kids had woken and made their way down together. Caileigh was holding onto her teddy bear as she was sucking her thumb.

I shot them a weak smile and scooped my baby girl up, ruffling Mackay's and Jadyn'a hair while they climbed on the comfortable couch.

My mind travelled back to last night. Our marriage hasn't been going well lately, but I was scared to give up on it. These three kids don't deserve to have a not complete, loving family once again.

I guess I should just have a conversation with him when he's awake and feeling better.

After hours of just spending a lazy day Sunday, Louis' footsteps were heard coming down the stairs.

I made sure to not look his way, yet I could feel his eyes burning on me. I heard him walking into the kitchen and getting himself a cup of tea.

He slowly sat down on the other side of the couch. I saw Mackay giggling around with his younger brother and they ran towards the playroom. Caileigh was yawning as the boys wouldn't play with her and she was bored.

"Go on and join them, love. Tell them daddy said they must show you their toys" I heard Louis tell Cail from beside me. She looked up and nodded, quickly making her way after her brothers.

"Harry.. look I'm sorry for the vas. I know it meant a lot to you and I completely screwed up okay?" Louis started.

I sighed. "It's not just about the vas Louis. This isn't the first time you got home drunk, it's like I'm doing this on my own. Being a parent" I started.

A loud sigh was heard coming from his mouth. "I know I just can't find another way to get rid of all the stress. It's been hard, babe. The business is on breaking point and once we don't make this deal with LEX Company, we can shut the place down." he explained.

I nodded. "But that doesn't give you the right to be without us so much. I miss you, Louis. We haven't even had sex since Christmas which I had to almost force you into!" I accidentally raised my voice slightly, but after clearing my throat.

There was no respond.

"Why, Louis? give me the real reason"

"I-I... I've made a big mistake, Harry" he started and my guts were telling me I didn't want to hear the rest.
