Chapter 12: New Bonds

A/N: Before we begin, I just wanna say something. But if you're annoyed or whatever, just scroll past. It won't take too long. These are just some facts in this book I need to list down.

First, it's mostly written in Tony or Bruce or my OC Katiya's POV, cos their presence is vital 🤌. But I'll experiment with some other characters as well (u already saw I'd wrote some parts in Dick's and Tim's POV).

Second, don't be sad there isn't any of your favorite villains...yet. They are going to appear, just not so fast. (Comment who's your favorite! Mine's Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, so ofc they will appear, tho not so soon :D)

Third (this is important), I have no choice but to not include Young Justice, becoz there's a lot of characters for me to handle. 😩

Lastly, the year is set in 2018.

Justice League Watchtower, 6.30am

"What did you do?" That heavy, dangerous tone Diana implied in her question was telling Bruce that he should run.

Immediately.

And as quick as possible.

But he was the freakin' Batman. He wasn't supposed to cower in fear, even in front of an Amazonian princess who looked like a bomb about to go nuclear. 

He stood firm on the ground. "I have my reasons."

Diana's frowns deepened even more. "You may trust one of them, but that doesn't mean we trust them."

"Okay, enough," Clark came between the two. "At least we could give them a chance. I mean, they aren't bad guys."

"Whatever the reason, they are still strangers," Diana countered, folding her arms.

Clark placed his fists on his hips. "At least we know their identities. I mean, Captain America's in there!"

Diana held up a hand to stop him. "That's not it. You cannot just say you agree with Bruce just because Captain America is your idol."

"But, seriously Diana, Bruce has a point," Oliver said. "Bruce trusts one of them. We know one of them is a national hero. Seriously, how many proof do you need to make you trust them?"

"No..." Diana said. "There's something in my gut that doesn't make me trust them. Women's intuitions are always accurate."

"Well, maybe you're wrong, or you probably misinterpreted what that feeling actually means," Barry guessed. "And you can't deny it; the vote is down to five to one. You can't change anything with yourself alone."

Victor nodded in agreement.

Diana looked at the men in disbelief. But eventually, she sighed.

"Fine. I will go with your decisions. But do not regret when you are wrong."

Wayne Manor, Gotham City, 3.00pm

"Thanks, Aunt Selina!" Morgan cried as Selina ladled a spoonful of mashed potato onto the young child's chicken chop.

Selina smiled. There was no other kid in the world besides Morgan Stark that had that radiant sunshine of a smile. "Welcome," she said, plopping on her seat next to Pepper.

"I would not believe you would agree to this séance," Pepper began. 

"Of course, I would," Selina replied, pouring tea in Pepper's cup, then hers. "Is it a tradition of yours?"
