Y/n walked out of his house wearing a regular shirt and pants he saw Evelynn parked there with her car, they smiled at each other before Y/n got in the car.

Y/n: So what are you planning on having?

Evelynn: I was thinking just a muffin or two

Y/n: Really? I thought you'd be a little more hungry then that

Evelynn: I had a big dinner last night

Y/n: I'll bet with all that pop star money you make

Evelynn: speaking of money, why are you living in such a small place, shouldn't you have loads of money

Y/n: Haha, well you see currently my bank is converting all the money to piltover currency

Evelynn: but... Demacia and Piltover share a currency

Y/n: Uh...

Evelynn: You're lying again, that's just like you. What did you spend the money on?

Y/n: It's not important...

Evelynn: clearly it is if you can't afford a nice place

Y/n: I said it's not important Evelynn!

Evelynn kept her cool but she was shocked at Y/n's outburst, usually when caught in a lie Y/n would immediately spill to her but he seemed so hell bent on keeping whatever he was hiding to himself.

Evelynn: I'm sorry... you don't have to tell me, we're not in a position to share secrets anymore

Y/n: It's fine... it's just very sensitive right now

They arrived at Pantheons Pastry House where after stepping out of the car they saw a certain fox standing outside the shop, she immediately spotted them and rushed up to them a stern look on her face.

Ahri: There you are! I knew i'd fine you here

Evelynn: Ahri? I thought you were busy with your business calls

Ahri: I was! But then I noticed you slipped out of the house, and figured it would be to spend time with him...

Y/n: Hello

Ahri: Don't get cherry with me, I am not letting you spend time with him alone, not after everything

Y/n: Just can't let the past die can you?

Ahri: I did and then it revived itself!

Evelynn: Well you're welcome to eat with us Ahri, I'm just here to hang with a friend

The three entered the pastry house and Y/n immediately started browsing Ahri pulled Evelynn aside to talk to her out of ear shot.

Ahri: Why are you really hanging out with him?

Evelynn: Remember what we agreed on? I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with him

Ahri: Oh I see, what have you gotten so far?

Evelynn: Well it would appear he's spent a lot of his money of something, something he isn't willing to tell

Ahri: I see, how do we go about this?

Evelynn: You're suddenly interested in helping?

Ahri: Evelynn, for all I know the reason Y/n has returned could be for criminal reasons, I've always wanted to see him behind bars this could be the chance I get

Evelynn: That's a little rude isn't Ahri? To wish something upon someone

Ahri: Evelynn if you were me you'd feel the same, I had to sit there through all the times he emotionally hurt and tortured you with his antics

Evelynn: I suppose so... but what if it isn't criminal?

Ahri: then I'll at least be able to shame him for whatever it is

The three sat at a table and began eating their food.

Evelynn: so Y/n, what do you plan to do now that you're back in Piltover?

Y/n: Well... I plan on seeing if I can visit old friends and say hi, next I think I'll explore every fun place Piltover has to offer and then just hangout with friends

Evelynn: Interesting, and if I may, why do you not plan on getting a job?

Y/n: Where I'm at in life I don't need one

Ahri: Why?

Y/n: let's just say I'm in a bit of early retirement

Ahri: pfft, yeah right! I know Lawyers in Demacia make mad money but not enough where you can retire at 25

Y/n: True, but my circumstances are a bit different

Evelynn: How so?

Y/n: er well... they're just different... that's all

Evelynn: Hmm

The tension had become awkward Y/n looked really nervous. As if debating something in his head it seemed he had come to a decision one he was adamant on.

Ahri: Well you said you wanted to hangout with friends, Yauso and Ekko are going to be at a party we're hosting tomorrow, if you want to come you can

Y/n: Wow... Ahri inviting me to a party? Who would have thought

Ahri: I'm only doing it because I know they'd like to see you

Y/n: Yeah I know you're not the type to do anything for me

Ahri: and you're not the type to do anything for anyone...

Evelynn: OK! Enough with the jabs, Y/n I'll take you home and see you at the party. Sound good?

Y/n: Yup, a shame though that I can't see Jinx of all people

Evelynn: Yes you can

Y/n: No I can't, Ezreal told me she's on the run

Ahri: Figures, that guy hasn't been updated on the latest news

Y/n: which would be?

Evelynn: Caitlyn and Vi caught Jinx a few nights ago, she's in Stillwater

Y/n: really? Well I think I'll know where to go after the party tomorrow, I need to do a few work things at home, so if we can get going

Evelynn: right yes I'll drop you off, in the meantime Ahri you can go finish the party setup

Ahri: B-But Akali was supposed to do it?

Evelynn: Can you expect Akali to get anything done correctly that isn't motorbiking or spray painting walls

Ahri: Sigh you're right

Y/n: Well let's get me home

Y/n let's out a loud cough which takes the two girls by surprise, it wasn't a normal cough it was a sickly cough one Evelynn was familiar with.

Evelynn: are you ok Y/n?

Y/n: I-I'm fine... please just take me home...

Not another word was spoken even after Y/n was dropped off the boy seemed eager to get inside, Evelynn sat in the car pondering something.

Evelynn: it can't be, but that cough... maybe he just swallowed something his body didn't like, yeah that's it, that's got to be it

It was a quiet ride home that day...
