The exhausted scientist stumbled and trodded towards her bedroom upstairs, her legs may have been low on energy but the strong will of her brain pulled her through the agonising trail. knowing and not caring that her makeup (whatever's left) will rub off onto her f/c bed sheets, y/n collapsed her soft bed.
thankfully, nobody was home to experience y/n at her lowest point of the day. being a chemistry and biology student was not a stroll in the park. especially, when you're the teacher's pet, a lot weighs on your shoulders when that occurs.
unlike her science teacher from high school who hid their murderous and destructive plans and mindsets under a nurturing and loving masked. your university teacher, he was much more laid-back yet invested in y/n's scientific knowledge and enthusiasm for learning, but he always had time for a goof, gaf, and a gof, with a certain rooster head: his second favourite.
speak of the devil.
"you look like shit," declared a nonchalant tetsurō, messily eating a bag of doritos by the door.
after graduation, y/n and kuroo received scholarships from a prestigious university in wakayama, due to their association with akio banzan years back. mr. banzan had also gifted the pair with a luxurious apartment near the university.
to study, y/n had selected chemistry, biology, and sociology, for a change. as for tetsuro, he picked chemistry and physical education (basically sports and biology). the pair had worked hard for years in their majors, they couldn't wait for their graduation that was around the corner.
y/n groaned deeply as she turned over on her back, she remarked sluggishly, "so do you, rooster-head."
the boyfriend chuckled and placed his snack on his lover's clean desk, after wiping his hands tetsuro joined y/n on her bed, lying on his stomach.
"wanna talk about it?" kuroo hummed, resting his head next to y/n's.
"i had my last biology exam," y/n yawned, stretching her legs, "two and a half hours!"
kuroo sympathised, "that sounds like hell, i hated biology."
"oh no! the test wasn't the problem," y/n corrected accordingly, "the exam was dead easy, i finished the exam in like... 30 minutes. the problem is that i didn't revise much and didn't get enough sleep because i was watching (whatever show you like). so for the rest of the exam, i had a nap." y/n concluded sleepily.
"it amazes me how stupidly smart you are," kuroo shook his head in disbelief.
he smiled delightfully, "i have a special surprise for you." from his back-pocket, kuroo pulled out an envelope and fanned it over y/n's wide and curious e/c eyes.
