THE REST OF THE DAY CONTINUED AS NORMAL. For everyone else except for you and Kuroo of course. You found out, through Kuroo that your teachers are on a secret mission to attack Akio Banzan; one of the most influential people in the country. But why? His new invention can help millions of people, how inhuman do you have to be to achieve such a goal?
"Love triangle?" Kuroo and you were back at your home, sitting on a blanket on the kitchen floor. There were papers of various sizes and colours surrounding the pair of you, the reason being: Hina wanted the group to draw their costume for the performance and to be honest, you were struggling a little. "Could be possible in this day and age!" Kuroo tried to persuade you, but you were sure that wasn't the case.
You sighed, feeling your eyes become heavier, "No I don't think so..."
"Y/N~" Kuroo and you looked over to see Dosei crawling for to join the drawing fun.
You yawned, "Dosei baby, you don't wanna— ughh!" The (h/c) little toddler purposely collapsed and nuzzle you with his little chin also known as coodling. You yawned once more before grabbing your baby brother under his arms and holding him close to your chest.
"Aww, that's so cute." Kuroo cooed, he held out his hands signalling his eyes from you to the baby. "I can hold him while you finish your design."
You nodded then slowly handed Dosei to Kuroo. A giggle slipped out of your lips after noticing that Dosei began his little snores once more and cuddling into Kuroo even more than with you. Rude.
However, Kuroo holding your baby brother was the cutest thing you've seen all day. You kept glancing back up at the boy a couple of times, smiling at how well he was taking care of Dosei like a father, a great father.
"Y/N, you okay?" Kuroo broke you out of your thoughts. You quickly wiped away a little tear on your cheek and looking back up at him.
"Yeah.. uh." You said breathlessly. "Can you take Dosei to my mom? She should be in the living room."
"Of course!" Kuroo stood up and walking over to the door, "Don't fall asleep on me!"
The black-haired boy walked down to the living room seeing your mother at her desk doing work of her own.
"Oh, Kuroo!" M/N greeted him with a slight shock in her voice, "I didn't see you there!"
Kuroo smiled, "I'll take that as a compliment since most people would recognise me with this hairstyle." The two of them laughed before Kuroo changed the subject.
"Do you want me to take him to his room or?"
Your mother replied hastily, "No, no, no!" She went over and gently took Dosei back in her arms, "You've done enough for me and Y/N. You should probably go back to her."
The male agreed then walked towards the door, he stopped and looked back at your mother, "If you need any help, I'm just down the road." Your mother smiled before he left back to join you in the kitchen.
He came back to you sleeping on the ground, drooling on your finished project with your H/L H/C in a mess. "Cute."
The tall boy bent down and pushed you gently away from the paper and grabbed your scraps in the bin and your finished project in a folder along with his own.
He went over and carried you (bridal style), trying to laugh at your snoring. "Must run in the family." He carried up to your room plopping you onto your bed, then placing the folder next to the laptop.
"Kuroo?" An exhausting voice belonging to you called out to him. He hummed and looked back at you, then sat in front of you on his knees.
"How are you feeling Sleeping Beauty ?" He asked as he removed the hair on your face.
"I would feel better if your hands would piss off," You threatened at first but soon starting laughing with your partner. The two of you looked at one another for a moment, a moment that felt like it lasted forever as if everything went in slow motion. You've changed a lot over these last few days, and you were proud of it.
"Hey, Y/N," Kuroo broke the silence, "Did you hated being my partner?"
You were more awake for that question, you made some room for Kuroo to lay in bed with you before replying, "At first, a little bit. I kinda thought you were annoying, un-ironically kittenish; flirty, and a bit of an asshole. I mean you are still minus the asshole part, well you did use a pickup line about diarrhoea."
He chuckled, "Yeah, did you like it?"
"Ew no!" You cringed, then proceed, "But you're more than that. You're really kind, sweet, funny, a great person to hang out with."
"Really?" Kuroo asked, "I'm no genius but I think those are the best words to describe a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection!"
"A friend?" He nodded, you thought back to what you said and he was indeed right. Those are the qualities that make someone a great friend. Maybe you misjudged Mr. Rooster head?
"Maybe we can be friends."
