Pete
The four of us stood around the camp fire completely vexed by the flames. There wasn't the slightest gust of wind around and it was pitch dark except for the fire we had built.
I had the feeling something ominous was coming and soon I would be proven right.
We were stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal and no sign of our other tour bus. We had built this fire as a signal but it turned out to be more of a source of comfort than anything else.
Patrick tapped my shoulder and signalled to the tree's behind us, "Pete, there's something coming out of the woods."
The feeling in the pit of my stomach that danger was coming was getting more intense and something told me that running would just be useless. I turned and faced the woods; ready for whatever was coming.

Andy
I saw Pete stiffen visibly as he faced the woods and found myself copying his stance. If there were going to be any fights, it'd be Pete, Joe and I - as much as we loved him, Patrick was a small guy and would probably be the first one down.
"Guys, grab these. Light 'em up." I threw a stick at each of the guys who in turn, set it alight in the blazing bonfire. I turned to Patrick, "stay between me and the other guys. Do not move from that position."
We formed a triangle with Patrick between us, each second feeling like a minute as we waited for whatever lay beneath the brush of the forest to come out. And then, they did.

Patrick
It was kind of annoying how the guys always singled me out as the smallest but right now I was grateful. Four of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen emerged from the forest, all with unnaturally pale skin and shining red eyes. They were the epitome of danger but their looks lured us in like Sirens did to ancient mythological sailors.
They all appeared to be young and had very similar features. It was possible that they were sisters or that whatever it was that they were made them look similar. I was the only one brave enough to speak and I addressed the lady or whatever she was that was standing in the same position as I was. "Who are you?"
She laughed, "I'll be the watcher of your eternal flame," and sauntered towards me. The guys seemed as though they had been put into some sort of trance and allowed her to pass through them. She took my hand and led me to the bonfire where i was suddenly overcome by reckless abandon and started dancing around the fire with her, almost as though the trance had now overcome me and we were participating in some weird voodoo ritual.
Pete had joined in with the curly haired woman and they were now dancing along with us. I asked again, "who are you?"
She smirked and told me, "I'm the guard dog of all your fever dreams."
She was so beautiful and mysterious and I'm that moment I forgot everything else as I dipped her down and kissed her.

Joe
I was the only one who hadn't fallen for the trap laid by the beautiful women. There was one left with long, straight raven locks who's eyes now pierced into mine. I didn't let that stop me. "I know what you are." I confidently told her.
"Yes Joe, I know you do. And I know you want to meet forever now. So come with me."
The thought of being an immortal; never growing old, amassing wealth and power and being able to do everything I ever dreamed of was too good to pass up.
As I looked at my fellow band mates, I saw Patrick, Andy and Pete each drinking from the wrists of the mysterious women. I knew this meant they'd have to die shortly in order to complete the transition and I knew I would have to too. And I didn't care.
We could be immortals.
