⚠️Warning ⚠️
This story will contain a toxic relationship, manipulation, gaslighting, mentions of suicide, blood and death. This fic would not portray a healthy relationship between Karma and the reader, unlike my other stories. Also, it's Karma Akabane... as freakin' yandere... how much more of a warning can I give you all?
I do not support nor condone the kind of behaviour Karma will display here. Remember, it's fiction. The creepy stuff I write in this story is just for the purpose of telling a story and entertainment. Nothing more.
If you understand, then I hope you enjoy this story.
~To The Story~
Strangers walked past you, too busy with their own lives to even notice you. As if seeing a teenager alone out in the city during the middle of the night wasn't concerning at all. None of them bothered to help you nor even went to ask you what was wrong.
You shivered from the cold and hugged your knees. It's only been two hours and already you were missing your warm bed and stuffed animals. The rage in you was beginning to simmer and cooling your brain. As stubborn as you were, you were starting to think that running away wasn't the best solution. Where did you think you can go? You don't even have any money. Just some spare change that you used for a payphone to try and get a hold of your stupid boyfriend.
When you heard a group of people laughing from across the street, you raised your head and saw a group of young adults leaving a ramen shop. Whether it's your mind playing tricks on you or not but you can practically smell the food from here.
You placed a hand over your growling stomach as you swallowed. You hid your face again, to lessen your hunger as much as possible.
Maybe you should just go back home.
When you involuntarily thought of that idea, you reminded yourself of the reason why you even left in the first place. The rage within you returned. You clenched your teeth. It's your mother's fault. Why does she have to be so difficult?
"You want to leave? Fine! But you'll be crawling back in no time!"
She was the one to encourage you to leave. Stubborn as ever, you refuse to walk back to your place no matter how hungry and cold you are. You won't let her win even if you had to sit out in the cold.
"Hey," someone finally stopped and took notice of you. "You alright there?" The stranger gently kicked your foot, wondering if you were responsive or not.
Sluggishly, you tilted your head up to the source of the voice. Upon checking, you were met with a pair of golden-mercury eyes, staring back at you.
In this large city, and out of all these people here, why was he the one to approach you that night?
(4 years later)
Summer.
It's finally summer. For the next 8 weeks, there will be no exams, no gruelling assignments, no worrying about getting to your early classes on time. You made sure to work hard on all your classes to avoid re-taking a course. Glad all those sleepless nights were worth it because now you feel as though you deserved to take a break this summer.
And to celebrate for surviving the first semester of school, you and your friends when out for dinner to treat yourself.
"Excuse me~" Kurahashi happily waved towards the male server. "Can I get a second dish?"
From across the small restaurant, the waiter politely nodded at her request.
Okano lowered her drink to frown at her friend. "Slow down, are you trying to get sick?"
