~To The Story~

[Kurahashi]

I see you left.

I already miss you ( ؕؔʘ̥̥̥̥ ه ؔؕʘ̥̥̥̥ )/

Have fun.

[You]

I'll only be gone for a few days :)

See you soon (^-^)/

You ended the text there and just then, the train began to move.

The train ride should take around an hour so to kill time you plugged in your headphones and pulled out your playlist. Many of the songs you put together were songs you use to listen to back when you were a teenager. You've been feeling rather nostalgic ever since reuniting with Karma.

You relaxed and listened to your tunes. It was rather tempting to sing the best parts of the song but you knew the people around you won't appreciate it.

Listening to your playlist did indeed help kill time because you were surprised to see that the train stopped at your destination.

Those who had the same stop as you gathered their belongings and left the train. You only had one bag so you quickly got up and left the train.

"Oh, there she is. (Y/n)!" Your mother waved the second she saw you coming out.

Across the train and by the benches, you see your parents, waiting for your arrival.

Smiling, you waved and carefully made your way towards them, without bumping any other passengers who were leaving the train.

Your mother didn't let you come all the towards her and your dad. She quickly met you halfway and embraced you in a tight hug to make up for all the times you were gone.

"Goodness," your mother let you go to get a good look at you. "Look at you. You've only been living alone for a few months and I see how much of a fine young lady you are." She tapped the bottom of your chin, eyeing you approvingly.

"Must have been all the responsibilities." Your father soon came by and smiled warmly upon seeing you.

"And the stress." You sighed then hugged your dad.

They were just acknowledging how much you grew up since the last time they saw you but when your mom and dad hugged you it felt like you were a kid again, coming back to your parents who are willing to take care of you while you're home again.

"You guys didn't have to pick me up y'know." You said, reeling back from your father's hug.

"Nonsense." Your mother chirped. "We wanted to see you as soon as possible. Besides, this way you don't have to take the bus."

You never had a problem with taking the bus. Once again you were reminded of how snooty your mother can be.

"Well, thanks." You said, appreciating the effort nonetheless.

"Alright," your father said as he took your bag out of your hand. "Let's go now."

"Oh (y/n), I can't wait to show you what I did to the living room..."

(...)

"Is the apartment still good? I do hope the landlord didn't keep any major secrets from you and your friend. I remember when I moved into my first apartment." Your mother babbled. You halved listened and just sat comfortably in the back seat of the car, the same spot you sat in when your parents were dropping you off at your apartment.
