Chapter 19

"Are yew sure yew want to do dis?"
I hear 2D ask as we drove down the road.

"For the millionth time, Yes. We have to."
Murdoc grumbled as he drove us to our destination.
Looking over at Sia i she sat almost uncomfortably in the seat next to mine thumb in her mouth and eyes becoming heavy to her.

"But we've only known her for a few months...why do we have to do this now?"
2D asked again, fidgeting in place.

"Becauuussseeee. It's the right thing to do, and i don't want coppers on my arse for kidnapping a child."
He replied serious like. Although I knew it was for another reason.
"We don't need to be interrupted in the middle of our music video."

"Speaking of the music video, what are we going to do about the floating island. She can't really go up there with me can she?"
I ask as I kept my eye on the sleeping child.

"Absolutely not. Too dangerous. We can't risk her falling. Besides, she screams every time Dents holds her up. She's terrified of heights."
Murdoc states as he makes a turn.

"Heights? I don't ever recall her ever being scared of high places."
I reply, trying to recall if she was or not. As far as i knew she wasn't.

"C'mon Noodz. You can't be serious, remember when she got stuck in the tree?"

"That's because she couldn't get down. I know Sia-Chan. She's brave."
I told him off. Knowing well she wasn't afraid of heights.

"I still think she's too little to be afraid to join you. She'd have to stay with us...i guess."
Murdoc states rather uncomfortable.

"In that place? With those..things...no thank you. Not the best place for a little girl."

We chatted about it for a bit before spontaneously we here her little voice chime in.

"Not with Noodle!"

"Wot?"
2D asked looking at both of us. I couldn't help but giggle.

"It's just funny that you say she's afraid of heights."

"Why's dat lov?"
2D asked. Looking at me curiously.

"Do you know how many times I had to save her from falling off the roof? She's follows me up there every morning."

"She did what now!?"
Murdoc yelled making everyone fall silent.
"Sorry I didn't mean to yell..."
He spoke softly before clearing his throat and turned back to face what was in front of him.
"Right then, Looks like we're here."
he said parking the car.

"Everyone can stay here if they want but I need to take 'er with me."
Murdoc begins taking She out of her seat and carrying her towards the building.

It didn't take long though before she squirmed her way out and back towards the geep.

"No! I don't wan' go back!"
Obviously distressed and not knowing what was going on she cries out

"Your not going anywhere lov,"
Murdoc said grabbing her again before she could reach the vehickle.

"No!"
She shouts and squirms around more. Seems like she was desperate to get back to us. Which made me smile a little...made me smile a lot actually.

"It's okay lov' Just go wifh Muhdoc."
2D shouted to her as Murdoc took her with him.

Watching him go inside with her I let out a happy sigh. Looking at 2D.

"Thank you."

"For?"
He gave a head tilt which made me giggle.

"This. Doing this for me and for her. I know it's a big change but...thank you."
