McConnels POV:
It's August 8th, the first day of school for Eastside High. Currently, at 8:13 AM before school starts, McConnell is preparing to start his class for the 2022-2023 school year.
McConnell recently broke up with his ex, Mr. Gaub who teaches only a few classrooms away from him. He couldn't focus on anything else but Gaub. But is that what McConnell REALLY needed?
The bell rings at 8:45 AM exactly and the students start to flood in. McConnell is comforted by the sight and greets his students. "Hello students, I'm Mr. McConnell and I teach History" He shouts.
After a few moments of introducing himself he notices a new student, she's shy and mysterious. McConnell being the quirky and silly guy he is, he calls her up to the front of the classroom.
The new girl slowly steps to the front of the classroom. She notices the classroom goes quiet and ALL eyes are on her.
McConnell speaks, "hello new girl, tell us your name" The quiet girl whispers "y/n.." The class stays quiet for a minute before McConnell Speaks up "Well y/n, tell us how you ended up here at Eastside"
y/n knows she shouldn't reveal her secret, she's been held back 3 years. McConnell notices she's not speaking and decides to whisper in her ear, "it's okay, you can sit down"
As she's going back to her desk, McConnell notices y/n's smirk. Throughout the whole class he notices her staring and smiling at him, in an unusual, flirtatious way. McConnell doesn't think too much of it considering his recent breakup.
About an hour later the dismissing bell rings and the students rush to find their next class, McConnell eyes y/n as she walks out the door. What was this feeling going on inside of him?
