(Third Person POV)
"Would you girls like some tea?"
Jack asks, looking at the girls as they sat together on the couch.
"We're good thanks"
Kate mumbles, laying her head on top of her fiancés as Y/N's was leaning on her shoulder.
"We really need to talk about Jack"
Kate tells Eleanor.
"Can we change the subject? You need to lay off him"
Eleanor replies.
"Why don't we discuss your wedding instead?"
Eleanor suggests.
"All we know is that it's going to be in spring"
Kate replies, pulling Y/N closer as Y/N kisses her cheek.
"Did someone say wedding? There needs to be a lot of dancing"
Jack says, walking into the room.
"My mom doesn't dance"
Kate says, annoyed.
Jack pulls Eleanor off her chair as they start to dance and he sings.
Kate looks down and Y/N squeezes her hand as she notices.
"Are you okay?"
Y/N asks in Kate's ear.
"Yeah"
She looks up with a small smile.
Eleanor sits back onto her chair before looking at the girls.
"I don't think I've seen you like that"
Kate mumbles to her.
"A superhero in my house and a serenade in the same day"
Eleanor says, looking at Jack.
"Well, you never know what you'll get in life"
As he says that, all the girls burst out laughing.
"Did I say something wrong?"
He asks, confused.
"All the aphorisms you use are wrong"
Y/N tells him, giggling.
"No way. That can't be right. Is it, darling?"
He looks to Eleanor.
"You said 'absence makes the heart grow older' a few days ago"
She replies.
"That's what it does"
He replies, chuckling.
"Come here, you're making my heart get older"
She pulls him closer and their lips meet.
Y/N and Kate look at each other until they pull away.
"We should go"
Kate tells Eleanor as she stands up from the couch.
"Ok. Call me later"
"Yeah, of course"
Kate replies as she and Y/N hug Eleanor.
"Go back to the apartment. I will meet you there"
Kate tells her fiancé as they get outside.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to do something but I won't be long" Kate tells Y/N, giving her a kiss and a hug before watching her walk away.
Y/N opens the door to the apartment to see Clint sitting on the couch with bags of slushy tied to him.
"Hi"
"Hey"
He greets her.
"Kate said she needed to do something. She should be back soon though"
She says, sitting next to him.
He nods and looks back at the TV.
A half hour later, Kate walks through the door holding pizza, a few bags and a Christmas tree.
"Hey!"
She calls out.
"Hey Katie!"
Y/N says, rushing over to help her put the stuff down.
"What's in the bags?"
Clint asks as he looks away from the TV.
Kate pulls out a few Christmas movies.
