#1: Use your worshippers to your advantage (this does not apply to you because you are not Cale-nim)
...
A pair of red-brown eyes met rich-black ones.
Cale stared deeply at the woman standing before him, scrutinizing her very being from feet to head. His fingers lay on his chin as he looked up and down, scanning.
After finally finishing his observation, he plopped down his hand on his side and spoke stoically, phrasing his statement with pure disbelief,
"So you're saying you're the representative of a GROUP that WORSHIPS me..." he paused as he sank in the words that came out of his mouth, scrunching his nose. He continued, "And you are able to help me SMACK the god of death?"
As much as it was unbelievable, Cale still hoped that it is doable. He'll do everything as long as he can smack the god who brought nothing but trouble and problems to him. He won't pass an opportunity to smack the said god even if it came out from a very suspicious individual.
Even if that individual happens to be a REPRESENTATIVE of a group that worships him which he really HATES the most. (At least this individual is not as bad as Clopeh)
The unknown woman began to speak.
"Yes, that is right. I hold a very special item that enables anyone to travel to the divine realm WITHOUT alerting the divine beings," She explained thoroughly, her voice did not waver which Cale found to be very convincing. He thought that she's either a really talented con-man (which is an exact opposite of Choi Han) or she's really telling the truth.
Unbeknownst to the redhead, it was both. The woman is an expert when it comes to conning and she's also telling the truth. She's actually got ahold of an item that bypasses the authority of the gods. And she's here to offer Cale Henituse, her god, a lending hand.
The woman smiled that resembles the smile that Cale and Alberu uses which will probably earn the 'Human, you're smiling like the crown prince!' said by Raon badge.
Cale became even more suspicious of the woman since he knows himself what this smile is.
"And since I am your follower, I am here to lend you a hand since I also hate that goddamn motherfucker," said the woman with a wide grin on her face. Words rolled out on her tongue smoothly as if she's not cursing a certain god.
The redhead approved of this behavior and the suspicion lessened but it still lingered. He unknowingly grew fond of the woman before him. Cale also smiled.
If Raon were to ever see these two, he will surely remark "Ah! Both of you are smiling like the crown prince! Are we scamming someone?"
"And how am I going to believe that?"
The smile on the woman's face did not disappear, instead it only grew wider. She scoffed and then spoke flatly, uttering every words clearly, "You have no choice but to trust me. You will not let this opportunity pass, am I right?"
Cale stared for a moment before bursting out amused cackles. It's as if tears began building up in his eyes.
He stopped. His smile did not show any signs of dying out yet. He pondered for a brief second before nodding, "Alright. I'll accept the offer."
Both figures extended their hands and shook each other's. Lips that contorted into a wide grin that almost reached their ears visibly plastered on their faces. They did not hide their true nature for they're both assured that they understand one another.
"Great. I am Cai, Young master-nim."
"Cale Henituse."
He apparently got caught in his excitement that he forgot that the woman was the representative of a group that worships him. His most hated thing.
