Minho wasn't planning on getting sidetracked.
He wasn't, really. He left the station in such a hurry he barely saw straight in front of himself, so he, of course, didn't see the person waving at him from beside their car.
"Hey, Minho-ssi! Hey!"
At first he thought he was hallucinating. That heart-shaped smile and bright clothes could've belonged to only one person, and he was, right there and then, pretty sure universe was playing some sort of sick joke on him.
"J J J-Hope sunbaenim! Hello!"
He bowed, deeply, eyes still as wide as saucers. Other man strolled over to him, looking as enthusiastic as ever, seemingly ignoring both their location and Minho's current predicament... if he even knew of it, that is.
"It's nice to see you again. We watched your performance some time ago – truly impressive, I have to say!"
"Th - thank you!"
He was still bowing. J-Hope laughed at him, cheerily, happy, and waved his hands at him to get him to stop.
"Alright, alright... enough of that now. Tell me, Minho-ssi, what are you doing here today?"
Minho's cheeks flamed red. He flinched and grimaced out a smile, and J-Hope's eyes turned into slits... although he still continued smiling.
"Tell me, Minho-ssi... you wouldn't have anything to do with Yeonjun-ah, or other miscreants I saw the leaders of gathering to pick them up just a bit ago?"
Younger gulped. "I...."
His head fell down. It looked like a nod, so he automatically proceeded into a deep bow, standing up with tears in his eyes.
"Yeah... Yes, I mean, I do – we.... I'm sorry, sunbaenim. It was... a lot of it was my fault."
J-Hope just watched him... then burst into a laughter.
"Jesus Christ, kid! You really are something, these new generations... fooling around with your friends is fine, but doing it with other idols.... And landing yourself in prison..."
He shook his head.
"I'm not angry at you, you know? For what I know, you haven't done anything to me, and Joon-ah is the one dealing with Yeonjun. So... Unless I hear you've done something especially stupid, I'm not going to lecture you."
He grimaced. "I mean, can't say I was always perfectly behaved, either, so..."
Then he laughed, head thrown back in amusement, and Minho couldn't help but snort out a laugh too at an easygoing attitude his senior seemed to be sporting.
"Oh, sorry, sorry, I just remembered that time Jiminie got so drunk he started serenading a flower." He burst out into laughter again. "He got rejected by it!"
Minho giggled next to him, covering his mouth with his hand, but J-Hope was not done yet.
"Oh! OH! Or that time Yoongi-hyung got Kookie drunk and they were arrested... Aftermath was decidedly not fun, but oh my God, the look on hyung's face when he saw Jin-hyung approaching them..."
He shook his head then, sighing.
"Back then it was not so fun... as is not for you right now, I presume."
"Yeah..."
"What did you do?"
Minho scratched the back of his head, his mood souring in an instant.
"Well... something stupid, sunbaenim."
"Don't say." J-Hope snorted, and Minho smirked, feeling bit more at ease. His senior seemed non-judgemental, and Minho really needed to talk to someone, so...
