I climbed out of the box. The smell of cheese was now tainted with the cold smell of sweat. Something seemed to be wrong. And then, I heard a child's laughter in the distance.
Oh God. Why am I doing this? The person who checks the strange noise out is always the first to die, I thought, striped limbs trembling with fear. But my curious puppet mind moved me forward.
Laughter and screams were mixed around in a slow pulsated beat. Fear sprang from the back of my head and droned out to the rest of my body. Where was I going? I made my way to a room with a large stage in the middle.
And then, a loud, monotonous scream was heard. And another one. I followed the noise to the stage's back door. I went in.
My eyes widened. A sharp pain formed at the back of my head. Four lifeless bodies were spread around the floor like ragdolls. Eyes were filled with pain and agony. And then, I screamed. "No, no, no! You're alright! I swear! I'm so sorry he did this to you! I'll make it alright! I will! I'll help you! I'll give you gifts! The gift of life! Please, be okay..." Even I was confused about the words I had spat out. And then, a memory came over me.
Out there in the cold... Shivering... The purple scent of death... The knife struck right through me. I cringed.
I dragged the kid with an eyepatch over to the fox. "You like pirates right? Right! Here, i'll make you happy!" I chucked him into the fox and locked its head in place.
I went back to the backstage and grabbed the small girl. My mind immediately subjected her to the purple rabbit at the stage. I fit her in and went back.
And then, the fat one. Dear God, if I had to find something as heavy as that kid, it would be a bulldozer. I stuffed him into the chicken. He wouldn't fit, so I mashed him in. The squishing noise his body made disgusted me.
And finally, the eldest. I brought him to the big brown bear. The bear seemed familiar to me somehow. I shrugged it off.
And I was done. Suddenly, laughter. The sound of children laughing echoed through the halls and ran through my body. It stopped. Eyes started of the animatronics started to glow faintly. They lifted their heads one by one, slow drones emitting from their bodies like television static. I smiled.

Loud whirring noises startled the man. He flipped through the cameras. Oh, shit... Standing right in front of the camera, the hideous face of the rabbit peered through, staring right at him. He dropped the laptop. The screen smashed into tiny glass shards. He grabbed the torch on the table and left his post.
"You couldn't possibly be alive, right?" he whispered, as if talking to the animatronic. "No, you couldn't possibly be alive." The torch's light shone through the room, illuminating everything that stood in its way. He shone the light at the Show Stage.
"Oh, shit." The Show Stage was empty. As if the animatronics had grown minds and walked away. A loud clank was heard behind the man. In a sharp turn of the head, the man looked back. "Oh, SHIT!" The animatronics had grown minds and walked away! A giant robotic bear stood in his way, knocking over everything in his sight. It was like a bear in a china shop. Or rather, a bear in a pizzeria.
"Oh, fuck me. Oh, fuck me REAL hard." He murmured. Well, he thought to himself. You fucking did it, dipshit. You tried to take your mind of murder, and LOOK what you did. You FUCKING murdered EVEN MORE children, Vincent! I don't know why the HELL you did it, but you did it! Great job, Vince! You're stuck in an eternal nightmare 'till the day you die.
Just then, the most unimaginable happened. The bear spotted the man. His eyes blackened. Two white dots representing pupils shone in each eye. The man gulped. The bear moved forward. "Clank, clank, clank..." his metallic feet went. The man, now five times as scared as before, ran back to his post, dashing past the chicken.
