I didn't even know it was a real place —
somewhere that's since been renamed. It feels familiar, based on
nothing but the feeling of
the name given to it
by the old clerics and magistrates.Their pain wasn't so different from ours,
you know. They had feelings and memories,
and agonies —
to say nothing of the ecstasies.Someday, I will visit this place,
and it will leave an impression on me —
a new impression, I hope, so different
from my preconceived notions and
anxieties.
