Waking through the front door, I set my keys down on the counter of the kitchen, before I started up some boiling water in a kettle. After the crazy day I have had today, I wanted a long time to myself before I thought about working again. I wasn't the richest person, but I had money anyways. Maybe I will look into moving somewhere else. That was an idea. Maybe to South America or Russia, somewhere I can find tons of exotic snakes to study.

"I have no family anyways, there's nothing keeping me here." I spoke to myself, "I wonder where it was that they got that snake, maybe he decided to migrate back home. How the heck did it even escape on its own?"

I sat there and heard the whistling of my kettle, letting me know that my tea was ready. Grabbing a cup, I threw some sugar into the tea and sat down on the couch.

Slithering around the house, I saw the woman was fast asleep in her living quarters. I was furious when Jareth tried to mess with her, the idea of people taking one's virginity against their will was wrong.

This woman was beautiful, the fact that her leg was injured because of me made me furious. I would treat her respectfully, the way she deserves to be. I slithered up toward the couch and saw the big wrapping on her leg where she had been injured. If I could access it, I could help treat it for her, but I didn't want to end up scaring the crap out of her. Slithering out of the room, I wandered around the house and down to where the basement was. I knew this was where she kept snakes, I could smell it. Shifting into a human, I stood there and unlocked the door, before walking in. The second I did, I couldn't believe the enclosure that I had just walked into. Unlike the one I was kept in at what the humans call a zoo, I found myself in one that was much bigger and the plants in this one were actually real.

Sitting up, I looked around the room to see that it was starting to get dark out. I didn't even remember passing out during the day. I sighed as I looked down and saw the bandage on my leg, remembering the day that I had ended up going through. Between Jareth and the glass that ended up in my leg, to even quitting at the zoo.

Surely by now they had found that large snake, but at the same time, part of me doubted they found it due to how it had simply ended up disappearing on its own.

Deciding that I wanted a distraction, I got up and headed downstairs to the basement, figuring that my snakes would help calm me down from everything that had happened today. I also was a little lonely, sitting up here on the main floor by myself.

Walking down the stairs, I was startled when I found that the door was unlocked. I have never forgotten to unlock the door. Slowly turning the knob, I opened the door and walked in, even more uncomfortable that Clyde wasn't at the door to jump onto me like he usually is.

Looking around the room, I saw no sign of any of my snakes. I closed the door behind me, before I grabbed a stick that was on the ground. I walked around the room to find a man fast asleep on the floor, with my snakes all coiled around him.

"Oh my gosh, did you guys kill him?" I cried as I ran over and checked the man for a pulse, but as soon as I did, he sat up and looked right at me. I backed away from him and picked the stick back up, holding it in front of me. "Who the heck are you? Why did you break into my home? And how smart are you falling asleep around several constrictors?" I hissed at him as I kept the stick pointed at him, but as I did I found several of the snakes were hissing at me for the behavior I was giving him. I saw even Clyde and Jewel were hissing at me. What the heck was going on? I stepped back from the snakes, only to find more of them behind me. "What the heck is going on? I don't understand anything that has gone on in the past 24 hours."

"It's alright, be still." The man spoke in a clear, yet commanding tone. I didn't know if he was talking to the snakes or me, but as I looked down I saw that all of the snakes were settling down and coiling up on the floor, but I didn't care. I turned and took off running towards the door. Not caring what happened, but as I did the floor below me shook in the process, causing me to trip and fall. As soon as I pulled myself up onto my hands and knees, the rush of blue scales surrounded me. I didn't know what I felt more, surprised or scared. As the coils surrounded me and picked me up, I felt them hold me firmly, preventing me from running out of the basement. As they did, I looked up to find the same snake that had escaped the zoo was sitting right here, holding me in my own basement.

Where the heck did that man go? And how the heck did this snake end up in my own home? I had so many questions, but no matter what, I was far from having recieved any answers. I was so tired of all the strange and weird stuff that has been going on that I didn't know what to do anymore. I just wanted to be able to have a normal day for once, but it seemed like no matter what, that wasn't going to happen.

Still shaking a little bit of fear, I felt tears running down my face as I was held in his coils, but as I did I felt his hold on me tighten just enough to stop me from shaking and he stuck his tongue out, once again licking my cheeks free of tears. I didn't care though, the tears continued to come, as I was held securely in his coils. His hold on me was so strong, but yet gentle at the same time as he held me with such strong coils wrapped around me from my chest down, but thankfully I still had my arms free.

"Why are you here? In my home of all places. I thought you disappeared. What do you want with me?" I cried out as I looked at him, but instead of answering my questions, his tail hovered over my lips, shushing me from asking any more questions.

The coils around me repositioned to where I was looking up at the ceiling and I was laying down on my back, the coils still wrapped around me from the chest down. I tried to fight to get back up, but his head in seconds was laying on top of my chest and was partly under my chin as I laid there. With one eye from the side of its head staring me down, I laid there with no way to escape, and with no choice but to accept the fact that I wasn't going anywhere.
