Spencer texted me this morning saying that Paige is in the swim team and practices every morning. She couldnt join the afternoon practice because Emily is there, and Ali has once threatened Paige that if she ever make a move on Emily, she'll tell her parents that she's gay. And being a pastor's daughter she couldnt afford for her parents to know. So she practices alone. I never realized how much influence Ali has in this school.

I saw her coming out of the locker and drying her hair. When she saw me her eyes widened either with fear or anger, I cant tell.

Me: Hi, Paige, right?
Paige: even without the accent, I already assumed youre not Alison.
Me: Courtney
I extended my hand but she was hesitant to take it.
Me: Its ok I won't bite.
She still didnt take it though. I put my hand down.
Paige: why are you here? What do you want? Did your sister send you here to make my life an even more hell than it already is?
Me: whoa! Too many questions McCullers. I need to ask you a favor?
She laughed sarcastically.
Paige: what made you think Id do anything for you?
Me: youre gonna have to listen to me first and then agree, its a win win situation for both of us.
Paige: I aint listening to this crap. And thanks for wasting my time.
Me: Walk out that door, and I swear youll regret you ever made an enemy of me, instead of a friend. !!!!!
Paige: what else do I have to lose??!!!! Your sister already made me the biggest joke in this school. I couldnt even get anybody to sit with me on the lunch table, i do lab projects on my own because nobody wants to partner with me. What made you think im afraid of you?
Me: you dont have to! .Just listen to me.
She didnt say anything for awhile.
Paige: What do you want?
Me: I think you've heard that Im not from around here, I grew up in England.
Paige: do i have to listen to your life story or Ill just have to search for your Wikipedia since you and your twin assume that you are that famous?
Me: trust me Paige, I didnt have any intentions of talking to you, if I dont care about my grades.
Paige: what about your grades?
Me: i need to pass swim class and I need somebody who'd teach me how to swim. And that's you.
Paige: ask Emily, she's your friend and she swims better than me and she can tolerate your mere presence.
Me: Have you forgotten why you swim alone? Huh, Paige?? She swims with the whole team, i cant disturb her, you are my last option.
Paige: you know why I cant swim with them?
Me: of course I do.
Paige: so you know that your sister hates me?
Me: Yeah I heard.
Paige: so you are very much aware that she'll cause havoc if she learned that you're talking to me?
Me: I can talk to whoever I want, this is none of her business, so are you down for it?
Paige: whats the catch?
Me: Ill sit with you for lunch. Help you get a lab partner, get you into parties you can only dream of being invited to. Thats more than enough. Deal?
She didnt answer.
Me: im guessing your silence means yes. meet me at lunch today.

I turned around and walked away without looking back, I reached for my phone and texted Spencer, Aria and Hanna.

"Its done. She said Yes!"

Alison

Courtney left for school really early today, i dont know what's up with that. Who goes to their school at 6:30 am. Weird. I wonder if Em would sit with us at lunch. Im excited to see her but then again I know she would only give me the cold shoulder. I dont care. I want to see her.

It was a normal school day, Spencer Aria Hanna and I sat on our favorite lunch table waiting for Courtney and Emily to show up. I heard gasps and murmurs behind me, i turned to see what the commotion is all about. I almost dropped my fork on the floor. There, sat on the far right corner is Courtney, and someone Id never thought Id cross paths again Paige McCullers. Courtney is busy eating her meal while Paige looked liked she is being swallowed by the ground. Then my phone beeps. Its from Courtney.

"cant sit with u guys, tell u l8r.."

I looked at the girls to see whats going on. They just shrugged their shoulders.
I typed.

"What the hell do you think youre doing Courtney? Do you know who that girl is?"

Before I could even press send Hanna tapped the table catching my attention and pointing towards Courtney's direction. WHAT ON THE FVCKING HELL!!!!!!!!! Emily gestured to sit opposite of Paige, she flashes her girl next door smile and I could tell Pigskin just turned as white as paper. So, the b*tch still has feelings for her. I can feel my anger raging from deep inside me. I balled my hands into a fist. First, Emily stops talking to me, second, Courtney sitting w/ Pigskin at lunch and now Emily would rather sit with Paige than be near me. FVCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
I stood from my chair,
Han: where are you going Ali??
Ali: Hanna I swear, dont touch me right now
Spence: calm down Ali, what are you so mad about? Courtney doesnt know you hate Paige.

I didnt know what to answer, i couldnt tell them that I hate seeing Emily near Paige. So i grabbed my bag and headed for the exit. I caught a glimpse of Emily looking at me and when our eyes met she bowed her head. I walked out as fast as I can.

Emily

Lunch time. I walked the long hallways of Rosewood High, thinking if I should sit with Ali for lunch or just eat at home, would it be that awkward? But my stomach started to growl, as an athlete I cant miss any meal or I wont have any energy for the practice. Screw it! I need to eat. So i went into the cafeteria and the first thing I saw was a blonde girl sharing the same table with Paige McCullers,for a split second I thought it was Ali, then she turned her head,
Court: hey Em! Come! Sit with us.
I was hesitant at first because I know Ali would get mad , then I remembered, she and I arent on speaking terms and Paige hasnt done anything to me in the first place, so I sat opposite to Paige and smiled awkwardly. Courtney flashes her beautiful smile.
Me: the girls wont mind us sitting here?
Court: no, i texted them already
Me: So what's up with you guys? I didnt know that you know each other?
Court: oh! paige is my swim tutor, no offense Em, I didnt ask you bcoz I know you're very busy. But only for a couple lessons.
Me: oh none taken, good for you, you know what? Ali isnt a good swimmer either, but she loves going to the beach, ironic isnt it?
I kept on babbling until I realized I was only talking about Ali. Shoot!
Me: sorry
I looked at the exit door only to see Ali leaving, where is she going? I was staring at her back when she turned her head and out eyes met. I bowed my head down immediately and pretended to laugh at Paige's story. I looked again and she isnt there. I stayed quiet until lunch was up. Where could she be? That's all I could think about.

Courtney

After Ali left i picked up my phone and group texted w/ the girls.
Me: "did it work?"
Spence: "you should have seen the look on Ali's face. M.U.R.D.E.R"
Han: "do you want to sleep at my place tonight Court? I think going home isnt a very good idea."
Me: thanks Han but ill be fine, dont worry
Aria: she almost went to your table Court, a little more action is all we need and our Lovebirds are on their way to happy ever after.
Me: Good because I dont think Emily likes Paige's conpany either, she hasnt spoken a word since Ali left. Let's get this over with the sooner the better. Great job today ladies!
