After breakfast you had been on edge, you didn't want to meet anyone about work or the estate, let alone your supposedly other family members. Alois dealt with all that, he was the Earl.

You decided to finish some work after eating, wanting to take your mind off the event you would be having later.

Sipping on your tea you sighed.

Hannah had brought some after you completed your work, and sent her off to mail them. Now you would wait for Claude to come by and take you for your lessons.

'If only he could sweep me off my feet...that would..no...don't think like that!' You thought, he's merely a butler (one hell of one to-).

Continuing to sip on your tea, the sound of the door opening was heard. "My lady it is time for your history lessons" Claude announced with his hand over his heart.

With a nod of your head, you sipped what was left in the china cup and placed it down on the plate.

Claude made his way over to you and took it, placing it down on the silver cart it came in. You started heading over to the door and stepped out to wait for him, immediately noticing how the gold wallpaper of the walls was now a shade of red, with the old cases of riches and rugs, the manor now looked like what it used to look like when the previous Earl was alive.

Claude soon followed, so you decided to question him, "Claude why does the manor look like an apple?" Deciding to use your humor you told him. "Apologize my Lady but his Highness requested I turn the manor back to what it looked like for our guests tonight"

Suddenly being reminded of of tonight's dinner made you shiver, Claude seemed to notice your discomfort and added further

"Is something the matter my Lady? He inquired, but he sounded closer. You noticed he was now much closer to you. You felt your face turn a slight shade in red and backed up. "Nothing is wrong, let's get going we've wasted time" You said, walking away from him and started down the halls, Claude soon following.

"Now my Lady please tell me what was after the Suger act" Claude said. " After the Suger act came the Townshend act" you zoned out an answer, not quite understanding why you and Claude were going over these.

"And after that?" He continued.

"The intolerable act was put into place...why are we going over these?" You questiond the butler.

Though Claude ignored you and kept going on "And what would these acts slowly start to conjure in the colonies"

However no answer came from you and when Claude turned in your direction you were gazing out the window.

"My Lady!" Claude snapped at you, immediately breaking you out of your trance."huh..huh..what" Though you turned to look at Claude, and once again like in the hallway, was close to you again."My Lady I hope your taking this seriously or else I'll have to punish you for wasting time during your lessons" His deep voice drumming through your ears.

You face turned as red as a cherry by this and turned you head to avoid him but felt a strong grip on your jaw making you look back "Surely you wouldn't want that?" He questioned.

Your E/c eyes were now gazing in his golden orbs and though there was anger in them there was teasing and pride in them. "Enough! Unhand your Lady now" You swatted his hand away, clutching your jaw.

"Alois will have your head for that" You threatened but deep inside, you wished he could be more like that to you. "Apologize My Lady but I will take drastic measures to ensure My Lady is well educated" Claude moved back and checked his pocketwatch.

"We best continue these lessons for another day, I must prepare for tonight" When you thought he was done he went further "Do be ready for tonight My Lady, zoning out like that will cause problems for his highness and you" He finished and soon left you in the room

You didn't know what just happened between you two, but didn't know if you liked it or not. Buzzing yourself out of your thoughts you left as well and went to prepare for tonight, seeing at how late it had gotten.

Possibly much weirder but I'm trying to push towards the fluff and shoving myself further into S2 please enjoy this new chapter. And feedback would be nice just to see how I'm doing :D
