I always aim to have at least a thousand words so I'm sorry that these chapters are shorter than normal.

Dream POV:

The room is silent. No one says a word. There are guards all around the room, including Sapnap. Sapnap gives me a worried look, I return it. My parents eyes switch between looking at me and George. The tension is cut by George bowing down.

"I'm sorry that I failed to protect your emperor and majesty."

My mom sighs and shakes he head.

"We're very thankful that you were willing to take on this task George, but your time has come. We will see to it that one of our top agents will take over."

I gasp, my eyes widen and my jaw drops. This can't be happening! I wouldn't want anyone else to be by my side! No, I don't want anyone else to be by my side. I love my parents and I know they appreciate George but it was my fault in the first place! I jumped in front of George, I was the one who put him in this situation.

My heart aches. I'm the reason George failed. I'm the reason he has to leave! When I was doing the right thing I was doing the wrong thing at the same time.

"I agree. We should only have the best for our son. It's been a pleasure knowing you George. We've had the maids gather up all of your belongings and put them back in your suitcase. We think it's best if you leave immediately."

George looks horrified. I have the same look on my face. I can see that his eyes are watering. He looks at me then my parents and sighs.

"Very well, I'll be gone by tonight-"

"No!"

I interrupt. My mother looks at me surprised.

 "No to what dear?"

She questions.

"No! I want him!"

I grab George and hug him with my arm around his shoulder. His cheeks flush pink. The guards have a look of shock on their face while Sapnap is just smirking mouthing the word 'Simp!'

One of the guards that I don't know speaks up.

"Prince Clay?"

I sigh and regain my confidence.

"I want him to stay."

I pause while deciding what I'm going to say. George turns his attention to me, and looks at me directly in the eyes while he's still in my arms.

"It was my fault anyway!"

I confess.

"I jumped in front of the bullet. He stays."

I say as a statement and not a choice. My eyebrows are furrowed and my eyes are looking straight ahead at my parents. My parents look at each other, trying to decide what to do. Finally my Father speaks up.

"Well, it's been decided. If that's what you want. Clay you are dismissed."

I scrunch my eyebrows.

"What about George?"

"We need to have a discussion with him."

George gulps and looks at me nodding.

"I'm going to be okay, just wait for me."

He whispers.

I nod and slowly walk out of the room taking a quick glance back at him before I exit the room. I wait and listen from outside.

George POV:

"We see our son has grown a great bond with you, am I correct?"

I lower my head and look at the floor.

"Correct your majesty."

The queen continues.

"It's great that Clay has someone to keep him comfortable, but we can't have you be that someone."

She explains.

The King continues for her.

"We fear that you can't guard our son anymore, even if he wants you too. Feelings and emotional attachment complicate your mission."

I sigh and nod my head now looking up.

"I understand sir."

I sneak a look at Sapnap, and his jaw has dropped.

"Clay's now old enough to start his own Kingdom. So even though I'm King I can't go against my son's orders. You know what do."

I nod and walk out of the room with out another word. My throat is burning and I feel like crying. Yelling. Screeching all my feelings out. Why did it have to be the Prince. The incredibly charming Prince.

Dream POV:

The door creaks open and reveals a sad George. Once it closes completely I let him know that I'm there and hug him. His breathing starts picking up and tears fall from his eyes.

I wipe his tears off of his face one by one. I hug him even tighter but he pulls my hands off of him. I'm shocked. George starts walking away. I catch up with him.

"Where are you going?"

"I can't stay your highness. Not when I've failed you. Not when I'm falling- I need to go."

George picks up his pace and starts walking faster. I stand in the same place frozen.

"George, don't give up on me! I'm sure we can find a way!"

George paused and turned around to face me. Streams of water started falling from my eyes.

"Another agent will take my place. I have to go."

"But- I love you!"

George's cheeks turn red and he looks at me with a smile.

"I love you too Clay. I'm sorry."

And he walks away.

I stand there in the hallway waiting for hours, literally. Waiting for something I don't know. Waiting for George to come back? Maybe that's what. I stand there waiting and waiting but nothing happens.
