Lundyn threw her head back, allowing her old friend, Eriel, pour the Hennessy in her mouth. She scrunched her face up and swallowed the brown liquor before chasing it with lemonade.
HYFR by Drake played loudly in the car as Eriel hung out the window. Tierra drove and sung along with song as Lundyn recorded.
"Do you love this shit? Are you high right now? Do you ever get nervous? Are you single? I heard you fucked yo' girl is it true?"
Lundyn looked out the window as Tierra drove on the familiar Chicago streets. In 2014, Lundyn left Chicago. She began going to school at Florida A&M University. It's the summer and now Lundyn was visiting before her last year.
"Oh shit!" Eriel mumbled as Tierra turned on King Drive. "Gleesh must've did sum'? We doing a pop up get ready Lundyn!"
"Fuck you mean? We don't do pop ups boo, just do you and leave the nigga alone!" Lundyn exclaimed.
In reality, Lundyn was down for the pop up, but that meant they were going to Parkway. Lundyn had a real bad history with going to Parkway and she didn't ever want to step foot in there again.
Tierra turned into Parkway Gardens and drove into the gates. Lundyn felt a knot form in her stomach, feeling sick as Tierra parked the car.
The group of three women stepped out the car, Tierra slamming the door. "Goddamn!" Lundyn shouted.
Eriel and Lundyn followed Tierra as she stormed into the building, going to the fifth floor. Tierra knocked hard on the door as Lundyn looked around cautiously, not wanting to see them.
Tierra placed her index finger on the peephole as Gleesh could be heard on the other side of the door. "Who the fuck knockin' on my shit at 11:30!"
"Naw ion got no sug-." Gleesh said as he swung the door open. He stopped after seeing Tierra with Lundyn and Eriel behind her.
Tierra rushed into the apartment, searching it. "We doin' a rico sweep puss ass nigga!" Eriel laughed. She walked in with Lundyn following her.
"Where that bitch at!" Tierra shouted, pushing all the doors open. She moved furniture and searched closets with Eriel as Lundyn looked in the pantry.
