Before ya'll read this chapter, I'm gonna say that kaomoji [like these :D, T-T, etc-] will be used to express Xie -the detective's- expressions. Not everytime, but yeah.
And thanks a ton to Zufi_123 for helping me to write this chapter-
Writers block sucked btw :)-
3rd person POV
The door opens as two girls enter the room. The other one, whose face he hasn't seen till now, had silver-white hair that was tied up in a ponytail.
"This is Zufi, Mr. Xie." Tiffany says as Zufi waves her hand slightly. The said man waves back [:>].
"Sky?" Alex asks Zufi.
"She told that she'd look after.." The rest of the members faces, except for a certain someone, turns serious.
The detective on the other hand was completely clueless about what was happening. He really wanted to ask someone about the things they were discussing, but then again, he did not. Rather, he waited for them to tell him about his mission.
Xie POV
Do I even have any mission in the first place? Should I have trusted them and came all the way here? Could this be a fluke? Is there even a chance of this being true?
Did I even do the right thing agreeing to what they said?
After all, the only people I find here are a bunch of teenagers and not even a single adult. It could easily be a prank or something. But by the looks of their faces, it seems like it's not. What should I even believe in now? Their serious faces? I have no idea..
3rd person POV again
A shadow of doubt fell upon the detective's face. He started spacing out . Though it seemed like he was staring into the soul of the carpet, he was actually staring into nothingness. He didn't even know what to think about from the hundreds of thoughts roaming inside his head.
"I guess we should explain the situation to you... Mr. Xie." Zufi says, snapping the said man into reality. He then started to focus on their words. Zufi turns her head to the right noticing Rose on the verge of tears. The horrified expression was still visible on her face, which is understandable and is not her fault for the reaction. Alex was hugging Rose, comforting her and himself.
From the corner of her eye, she notices tiff moving forward, as a sign indicating that she'd explain. "Okayyyyy so uhh-" Tiffany starts speaking.
"Uhh- I- uhm- Vacation and uhh-..." She quietly mutters a 'I can't do this.' and takes a step back. Rose and Alex were in no state of explaining it.Haru notices Tiff trying hard to explain. 'It'll be worth a shot' she thought to herself, stepping forward to try so herself. Trying her best not to make things any awkward, she starts speaking.
"Okay uhm soo- . . .
.
.
.
I- uhh-
.
.
.
h-hAKUNA mataTA-" She says, sighing under her breath. She, being embarrassed, hides behind zufi with her head clearly visible. The faces of both Zufi and Alex looked as if they were mentally face palming themselves. It was quite obvious that they were.
The detective, on the other hand, was even more confused now. He wondered what made them soo awkward as to explain whatever was going on. It made him even more curious and cautious.
Zufi sighs, gently pushing haru a bit away from her so that she could explain it to the detective. She wanted to make sure that her friends don't hear everything and remember whatever happened. She, herself, couldn't forget about anything that has happened. She takes a deep breath, breathes out and proceeds to start.
"Okay soo.. since everyone here is a bit too traumatized to from coherent sentences, I will take over. We basically went on a vacation to get away from the city into the forest. But like what Tiffany tried to say, there was a dead body.. and you know..
...It was very gore-y. I'll spare you the details. We want to try to find the culprit and we require your help. We don't really wanna go to the police, so hiring a private detective is our alternative." She pauses, turning her face absolutely serious.
"I hope you are willing to take the risk because you're the one who agreed in the first place." A chill runs down the detective's spine. He sure thought that this might be some prank or something not soo serious. But this? It was wayy out of what he had expected. Hearing the girl made him understand the reason behind the room's atmosphere and everyone's mood being like this.
