Promise to Stay alive: AOUAD (Su-Hyeok X Cheong-San)

episode 4 (Chapter 7)

The start of Su-Hyeok's high school was not pleasant. He met with some Bullies. And being a strong athlete guy, he was immediately welcomed into the group. But, after spending a few months with them, he knew this is not what He was. He was not a bully. He does not like people crying leaving school or committing suicide for him. He needed to leave his friends.

And at that moment like an angel, Cheong-San came into his life to save him from hell. To drag him away from Gwi-Nam and his gang. Cheong-San the handsome boy, had already taken his heart away at the first sight. He and his friends welcomed him to their group despite knowing his past.

There he met with Gyeong-Su, Woo-Jin, and Dae-Su. Sometimes Joon-Yeong would also join them. They were good friends. Su-Hyeok was happy. Happy to leave his so-called ex friends, who made him do bad work for only his stupid reputation, which had no value.

Su-Hyeok loved his new life. And the best thing was he doesn't know how he slowly fell for Cheong-San. The boy was so caring, always putting others first- which he both loved and hated at the same time, such a good player, with an angelic face, he was perfect to him. Su-Hyeok wanted to be with him forever. But in fear of losing a friendship, he kept all these to himself. But now a sudden Zombie outbreak in their school which only happens in the Movie, at least that's what he knew, made him realize, he need to confess. He Doesn't Know what is at the end of this tragedy. Su-Hyeok doesn't know if he would even be alive till the end. So, he needed to tell him.

And that is what he did, after coming to the announcement room when everyone was busy with Na-Yeon and Gyeong-Su's fight. After he told the boy about his feelings Su-Hyeok felt light. And when Cheong-San returned the feeling, he felt like heaven. He was happy.

Cheong-San was sitting beside Su-Hyeok on the floor of the Announcement room with their back against the desk. Gyeong-Su was taking the chair just beside them. Woo-Jin and Joon-Yeong have cuddled up on both sides of Dae-Su using his hands as a pillow. Nam-Ra and On-Jo were sleeping with their head on the table. Jimin and Hya Ryung were also doing the same. The lights were turned off. With the growling of Zombies outside and the snoring of the students inside, everything in the dark room felt creepy.

"Cheong-San... " Su-Hyeok whispered. The boy was looking outside of the window, from his position on the floor. Hearing his voice he turned to look at him.

"Haven't you slept yet? " The said boy asked with a frown.

"Well, you are awake too. " Su-Hyeok raised his eyebrows.

Cheong-San sighed looking down at his hands which were folded on his stretched legs. "I can't. I'm afraid. If something happens, maybe a Zombie could climb through the window, or... Break through the door- "

"Shh... Come down. Nothing gonna happen." Su-Hyeok took both of his hands in his slightly bigger ones "I think in the nighttime they have lost their strength too. Besides most of the time, they hear us Or smell... Everything is silent now." Su-Hyeok pulled the boy towards him and placed Cheong-San's head on his shoulder.

"Yes, I know. But still... After all these, it's hard to fall asleep. I'm worried about eomma. Appa... I don't know...What are they doing" Cheong-San mumbled.

"They are safe. Don't worry. Let's not lose hope. Think about it, After all these are over, we will meet them. Then we will buy a new house and live together... It would be our new start. " Su-Hyeok whispered to him, trying to make the boy hopeful again.

"You- you want to live with me? " Cheong-San asked. Despite The darkness, in the room, Su-Hyeok can see the boy's eyes becoming wide. He couldn't help but smile.

"Of course I want. Why...? You don't want it?"

"I would like to have a future together. " Cheong-San smiled. "So... "

"So? "

"Boyfriends? "

"Yes. Boyfriends. "

Smiling Su-Hyeok leaned down to place his lips on the other boy. It was their first kiss. With a room full of their classmates. And Zombies growling and snarling outside. Cheong-San turned to wrap his hands around the taller boy's neck, who pulled him closer if that's possible putting him on his lap. They could kiss forever. But well, the need for oxygen made them pull away from each other.

They looked at each other for a few moments then Cheong-San leaned down for another peck on the other boy's lips.

"You two are gross. " Said a voice surprising both the lads. It was Gyeong-Su. Who knew the chap was still awake and listening to them all this time? Though his voice was playful as if he was teasing them.

"Gyeong-Su? " Cheong-San shuttered. He thanked the darkness of the room so that no one can see him blushing.

"Yes. I'm awake." Gyeong-Su shrugged. "Don't worry I'm not gonna tell to anybody about you two"

"Well, I've faith in you about that," Cheong-San said.

"But spoiler alert everyone knows something is going on between you too... " Gyeong-Su's voice was teasing again. Then he got up from the chair. "You two can continue being gross but don't go further from kissing cause there are still Zombies and you need sleep for tomorrow. And most importantly we're in the same room" With that he went to where the other three boys were sleeping and lay beside Woo-Jin.

Su-Hyeok moved closer to Cheong-San. Now he was sitting on his back against the desk as before while Cheong-San was almost on his lap, from the kissing earlier. "Sleep." He whispered placing a sweet kiss on his forehead, and the last peck.

Cheong-San had known On-Jo from when he was a kid. They went to the same school since kindergarten. And in their middle school, everybody was certain Cheong-San and On-Jo were a thing. And Cheong-San was not afraid to admit now that he did have a crush on his best friend in his middle school days. But then he met with Su-Hyeok at the start of high school.

That was rather awkward when they talked for the first time. Actually, Cheong-San had noticed Su-Hyeok always. The tall boy, a handsome figure, and a good athlete- everyone noticed the boy, even their seniors. Cheong-San knew the boy hang out with the bullies though never saw him taking actual part with them.

It was lunch break, and Cheong-San was thankfully not late, so he can see the volleyball friendly match. Cheong-San was not good at that game, so he was not on the school team. He just liked watching them. The game was going smoothly. But Suddenly a boy hurt his ankle, but no one went to help him. Cheong-San noticed that was the boy who used to hang out with the bullies. Su-Hyeok.

Without thinking twice Cheong-San went to help him up and took him to the infirmary. Though Su-Hyeok was saying he was okay and he most certainly did not expect someone to come and help him. The boy had many people crush on him, but he had no friends. The walk to the infirmary was quite awkward. No one talked.

After the school nurse gave him medicine and asked him to give his leg rest, both the boy was walking back to the class, and Cheong-San talked.

"So... "

"So...? "

"You don't have to come to school tomorrow. Give rest to your legs. I can give you the class notes. "

Su-Hyeok was surprised at first but then smiled. And that was the start of their friendship. And spending time with him, Cheong-San learned Su-Hyeok was someone fun to hang out with. The boy is caring, intelligent, and has a weird but cool sense of humor. And gradually his liking towards the boy became something different, romantic. That was the beginning.

Now here he was sitting with that boy, his head on Su-Hyeok's shoulder. They are now boyfriends, but instead of celebrating they have to fight. Fight for survival against the Zombies. But, Cheong-San could hope, hope to survive, hope to live together with Su-Hyeok and his friends, who are in this room.
