𝐄lowen was going to kill him.

She was going to kill one Darius Lucian.

After he had let her climax dwindle into nothing, she had all but snatched up her discarded bra and towel. She could hear Darius laughing as she stormed back up to the house. ‘That no good, egotistical dog!’

The human now sat in her bathtub, sinking low into the soapy water with a relaxed sigh. The uncomfortable knot that had been left in her stomach after her stolen orgasm slowly disappeared, part of the warm bath. She closed her eyes, feeling her bones and limbs go lax at the relaxing feeling that had enveloped her body.

Despite the denial he had made her suffer, Darius had brought her more pleasure in only fifteen minutes than anyone had ever done in an hour. Not that she would tell him that, his ego was already big enough.

Nevertheless, she was still sour at the Alpha and wanted nothing more than to give him a taste of his own medicine. She wasn’t going to lose this game so easily.

And she knew just the person to talk to.

❝𝐖hat do you mean he left you high and dry?” Maria had asked as they sat in the older brunette’s living room.

Elowen had called her when she had woken up the morning after the “incident”, and Maria had all but yelled at her to come over immediately - even kicking Xander out so they would have the whole house to themselves.

And that is how Elowen found herself with her legs crossed under her, clutching a glass of wine with Maria sitting on the couch across from her - swirling her own glass in her hand.

“I mean, he had me right at the edge of ultimate heaven, then he jerked me back from the golden gate.” The human explained as she took a sip of her drink. “If I had strength in my legs I would have kicked him.”

Maria made a face that Elowen could only describe as an ouch face. “Yeah, Xander had done that to me before.”

“And knowing you, you got your revenge.” The younger woman raised a brow as an almost sadistic smile flitted across the werewolf’s face.

“Oh I did,” The wolf smirked. “I left him blue balled for a week. I’d get him right there and then leave him to his misery.” Maria chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she recounted the days of her vengeance . “I think that was the only week that our hot water wasn’t used.”

Elowen giggled and looked down at her wine, running her finger over the rim of the glass in nervous habit. “I don’t think I could do that - I’m not that bold.”

“Elowen, my sweet innocent Elowen.” Maria cooed and pointed a manicured finger at the human. “If you want Darius to suffer you must be willing to get your hands, or even mouth dirty.”

“Maria!”

“What? Lie and tell me you haven’t thought of having that Alpha in your mouth.”

“You're horrible.” Elowen shook her head, a heavy blush falling over her face. “And no comment.” She looked away, taking another swig of the strawberry beverage.

Maria gasped, her hand going up to cover her mouth in mock shock. “Well I never thought I’d live to see the day that Elowen James would admit to wanting to blow someone!”

“MARIA SINCLAIR!” Elowen’s eyes were as wide as softball’s and her face was as red as the wine she was drinking. “Stop it!”

“Okay, okay.” Maria surrendered after her laughing fit, leaning forward to refill her glass. “Look, if you don’t want to go through with that, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Or in this case manipulate a man.”

Elowen’s interest peaked. “And what would that be?”

“Jealousy.” Maria’s eyes filled with mischief. “Nothing gets a dominant male more hot and bothered than thinking someone is moving in on his territory. Darius will want to prove no one can give you pleasure like him.”

“I don’t know, Maria.” The human was unsure. “Darius and I are finally on good terms. Besides, who would I use?”

“This is why I am cashing in a favor with David. ”

Elowen choked on her wine, and Maria was quick to be hitting her back. “Easy there, you didn’t want to choke on anything remember?”

All that got the older brunette was a wheeze of protest/outrage.

“Oh don’t give me that look, you threw a ball down the middle of the plate and I had to fucking swing!”

Elowen was going to kill her best friend.

After Elowen had gotten her breath back she ran a hand down her face, eyes shutting in exasperation. “Are you trying to kill me Maria?”

The she-wolf only rolled her eyes and offered Elowen some more wine. “If I was trying to do that I would have let those rogues take you. Now I bet that story got Darius angry.” She smirked, but it fell when she saw the look on the human’s face. “You haven’t told him yet have you, Winnie?”

“How can I?” Elowen muttered, staring at her reflection in the wine glass. “How can I tell Darius about that night? He would never look at me the same.” She said bitterly, taking a big gulp of the alcoholic beverage.

“You don’t know that, Elowen.” Maria argued, but the younger brunette merely shook her head. “Elowen if you don’t tell him, I will.”

“It’s none of your business Maria.” The human hissed and Maria scoffed - rolling her eyes.

“Who was the one who killed someone that night? You need to talk to someone, Winnie. You only ever discuss it with Me, Asher, or David - and that’s because we were there that night.” The wolf put a hand on Elowen’s arm. “It’s not good to keep that on your chest.”

Elowen sighed and sipped at her wine. “Selina said the same thing to me about Dad’s death.”

Maria smiled and leaned back, arm wrapping around the younger girl’s shoulders. “She’s always right, Elowen, and trust me - Darius won’t care - he will hold you and comfort you.” She kissed Elowen’s head. “Every storm runs outta rain Elowen, meaning everything will work itself out. You’ll see.”

I hope you’re right Maria.’ Elowen thought as she downed the rest of her wine, leaning more into the she-wolf’s embrace.
