Kai fell to the ground after using almost all of his energy to create a blast of fire behind him to stop the people who were chasing the group of six ninjas.

The ninjas stopped running to see what had happened as soon as they heard the blast of fire made by Kai himself.

"Kai!" Nya screamed, seeing the giant corridor on fire with all the enemies across the room blocked.

Nya was about to run to her brother but Cole passed her, picking up Kai.

Kai rested his chin on the earth master's shoulder and dangled his arms in the void as he was too tired to even move two fingers, Cole was holding him with both hands under the fire master's thighs.

"C'mon, we don't have time!" Cole yelled, starting to run.

Everyone started running again, now they had more time to escape as the enemies were stuck on the other side of the floor now on fire.

Nya went next to Cole. "Kai! Can you hear me?!" Nya could not help but see her brother give her a small smile and then close his eyelids. "Zane! What's wrong with him?!" Jay yelled as they approached the exit of that awful place.

Zane scanned Kai who was in Cole's arms.

"My data says he's still awake, he's just too tired to move his body, nothing that threat his life," Zane said, reassuring his fellow ninjas that were worrying for Kai.

"Guys! Faster, the door is closing!" Lloyd yelled, starting to run faster.

As soon as they got out of that place, everyone fell on the ground, tired from that race.

Cole fell on top of Kai, placing a hand on the back of the fire ninja's head to keep him from banging his head on the ground "I'm tired!" Cole yelled, turning around and lying down with his back on the floor, still holding Kai in his arms.

"Oh God- If it wasn't thanks to Kai we were all in there captured!" Jay said, putting himself on his stomach too.

Everyone was silent to catch their breath, except for Zane. "Is it me or does it look like we've been running for two hours nonstop?!" Lloyd said joking a little, smiling.

"An hour and fifty-six minutes, exactly," said Zane, who was still standing. "WHAT?!" Lloyd said, and everyone's eyes widened. "I was ironic! I didn't think we were running for nearly two hours!" Lloyd said, going to sit down and not lying anymorep, still out of breath.

"Hey there!" Everyone raised their heads, seeing samurai-x descend from the sky. "P.i.x.a.l.!" Zane yelled, smiling.

"Zane" Pixal greeted "get on, I'll take you guys up to the bounty." Everyone climbed into the giant Robot's arms except Cole. "What do we do with Kai?" Cole asked.

Pixal made a face as if she was thinking, then replied. "I'll take the others to the bounty, you wait for me here with Kai" Cole thought for a moment but then nodded.

Cole watched Pixal fly into the darkening sky, noticing the bounty in the clouds.

"They can't have gone so far!" Cole heard in the distance. "Fuck" Cole muttered, taking Kai back in his arms in the same position as before, running away into the trees.

"Guys we have a problem!" Cole whispered, tapping the earpiece in his ear with a finger. "Guys?" Cole removed the earpiece, noting that it was broken. He mumbled "fuck" again and threw it to the ground, taking Kai's instead.

"Guys!" He whispered - yelled again into Kai's earphone. "Tell us Cole! Pixal is about to come down to get you," Lloyd replied.

"There's a problem, the people who were chasing us managed to get out of that temple." Cole could hear background noises but then he heard Lloyd's voice again. "Hide, Kai has no strength, we're going to find you and get you!" Lloyd said. Cole could hear he was about to say more, but the headset caught fire.
