It had been a normal day in Green hills. Nothing was going on. I was at home with the kids when suddenly there was a loud boom and the power went out.
We all looked at eachother.
Sonic was here and not upset but looking startled.
Knuckles was here and looking surprised.
Tails was here and looking at his Energy sensor.
"I'm going to go see what that was." I told everyone before leaving and calling Wade.
"Wade. Did you see where the boom came from by any chance?" I asked since it was quite loud.
"No. I'm heading to the woods though." Wade answered.
"I'll check the town then." I said matter of factly.
I then got in the van and drove into town.
I had just entered when I saw a massive hole in the middle of the road.
I got out and walked over and it was a curled up hedgehog wearing... Armor?
What the..
I picked it up and I heard a soft and pained groan.
"I know. I'm bringing you somewhere safe right now." I said softly as I put the hedgehog in the passenger seat and went home.
I got him out and I immediately brought him to Maddie.
"Oh goodness. Set him on the table." Maddie ordered as she went to get our first aid kit.
I placed him on our table and then I took off the helmet as a start.
Only to reveal..
Sonic?
"Wow! He looks just like me!" Sonic Sonic chirped behind me.
I nodded.
Maddie came back.
"Okay. I have to get the suit off." Maddie said.
I went to shoo my Sonic out and block the doorway.
I watched as Maddie stripped the suit off the hedgehog.
Without the suit it seemed smaller.
Maddie then placed a hand above where it's heart should be and looked surprised.
"Tom. I think.. He's a she." Maddie said awkwardly.
I blinked.
"Why?" I asked.
I couldn't see anything that would dictate this except for the whole being slightly smaller thing but that could easily just be malnutrition.
"Well. She has errr.. Nipples." Maddie said even more awkwardly.
I blushed.
"Oh. Should I turn around?" I asked.
"Probably." Maddie chuckled.
I turned around.
The kids were all looking at me.
Sonic seemed confused but excited.
Knuckles looked concerned.
Tails just looked excited.
I sighed.
I waited maybe three minutes when Maddie groaned.
"Tom. Can you allow Sonic in here? I need to check his heartbeat to compare." Maddie ordered.
I nodded and looked at Sonic.
"Sonic. Don't stare at her okay? It's disrespectful" I said as I noted down that I was going to probably have to explain chivalry to Sonic soon.
