"We were told pirates are scum, terrible villains that cause havoc in our world. So why is that I am having doubts about the world government? Rein of justice? How can we say that when we are hurting our own people that we swore to protect?"A distant memory flooded the girls mind, Or rather was it a lucid dream? It sounded like she was speaking to someone close to her. She lays still with eyes closed.
Doubts about the Navy? How odd of me to think this way...
Sayuri is marine who strives to help others in order to protect them at all costs. She trains to grow stronger to aim to be a high ranking officer or admiral. With the motives of Akainu, Aojiki, and Kizaru, she wants to be like them somehow, yet different. She doesn't even trust the Shibukai, so why are the Marines being so buddy buddy with them?
The tides ripped harshly against the marine ship. The sky was rather cloudy with rain soon to come pouring down around this part of the grand line. It was reported that strange activity was happening in these waters where the navy usually patrols. An area where marines claim to be their land. The captain of the ship stood at the rear of the deck looking out over the edge of the boat. Thinking he puffed out smoke with his pipe in mouth.
The ocean was quiet today. Nothing really out of the ordinary stood out, there wasn't really nothing to do but stand by and wait. Some marines began to play cards on the table laughing away to pass the time . "HAH! I win again! You losers couldn't beat me even if you tried." One marine spoke confidently. "Please your good with games but suck at fighting with the sword." another spat out irritated at his loss. They both began to bicker and quarrel, raising their hands and swords to fight but an arrow with a rubber bud shot them both in the head. Ricocheting off one another. Startled the other men froze while the two blanked out on the floor.
"Pride is all you care for? There are things more important then fighting over who's best." A voice spoke from the crows nest. "F-First commander Sayuri!" The men who were frozen stood in lines with saluted arms up. "We were just playing cards- nothing more then us men fighting over small things like this!" The women scoffed and slid down the ropes with a thud of her boots clacking against the deck. "You have your fun, but keep your attention to the water before you. You never know when pirates come around." They nodded while sweating a bit at the women who got after them.
Suddenly there became a loud thump right underneath the ship. Startled the captain yelled out to the men, almost dropping his pipe. "AY IT BE PIRATES! READY THE CANNONS AND FIRE ON MY MARK!" The crew scattered everywhere like ants. Letting the cannons be placed in their stations, loading them up with powder and being ready to fire. To their surprise there was no ship in sight. Strangely the water was empty miles and miles away. The sun disappearing slowly as it became more cloudy.
Among the men who were confused by this fact, the women stepped next to the captain with her arms crossed heaving out a sigh. "Captain Denvior, are your ears playing tricks on you again?" She rubbed her temple looking out to the ocean. Knowing the fact something hit the ship but it could have been a whale. "No. Me ears weren't playin tricks on me again. I know what I heard." He said still looking out over the edge. Which seemed to have bubbles sprouting out in the water.
